Highly recommend
I've been using NYX foundation for years and years. But over the past few months I've had a horrid time finding it, and when I did, it wasn't my color. I've searched, but it's looking like they're discontinuing it. So I had to start one of the worst tasks in the world. Finding a new foundation. Which is tricky for me bc I'm not paying more than $15-$18. I did the Amazon search and this popped up almost immediately. I liked the idea of a dropper bottle, which usually means good coverage and the bottle lasting longer than a pump or spatula bottle. Most of the reviews were great, and the best part? The price. But it gets even better. Through some divine intervention, I picked the perfect shade on the first try. I had planned to finish off the bottle of foundation I was already using cause it's still pretty full, but after trying this on I decided to start using it immediately. I will say my skin isn't DRY dry, but it's on the drier side of normal. When I first tried it on, it felt a little dry on my face. But today I used a light moisturizer before application and I can't feel it at all. Blush (pressed powder) seems set into it very well too, so you can probably start out with a little less blush than usual, then figure out a good ratio from there. It has a matte finish, which is what I wanted and I didn't see a need for a setting/finishing powder. Overall I'd highly recommend this product if you're in the market for a new foundation. Long wear, full coverage, decent selection of shades and you cannot beat the price.

Luxury Makeup Lover Reviews Catrice: I’m Genuinely Impressed
I have loved makeup for over 35 years and have tried products across every price point. Some of my current favorites include Haus Labs 270, MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation NC40, Dior Forever Matte 3.5N, Tom Ford Traceless Soft Matte 6.5, Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate 10.5, Clé de Peau (Matte and Radiant) in 050, Prada Reveal MN55, Chanel Les Beiges B50, Armani Luminous Silk 7.6, and Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Foundation in 14M, just to name a few. For powder, I typically use Hourglass Ambient Lighting Pressed Powder in Translucent Tan during the winter and Translucent Deep during the summer when I want to add a little warmth. Like many people, I’ve been looking for ways to cut back on spending. My plan was to wear a more affordable foundation during the week and save my luxury products for weekends and special occasions. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from Catrice, but it completely surprised me. This foundation performs as well as—if not better than—most of the luxury foundations in my collection (with the exception of Haus Labs and Dior, which are still my personal favorites). It wears beautifully throughout the day, doesn’t settle into my smile lines, and looks fantastic on my mature skin. The concealer was equally impressive. It provided excellent coverage for my dark under-eye circles, lasted all day, and never creased under my eyes. That is something I can’t even say about some of the luxury concealers I own. The Airbrush Matte Setting Powder also exceeded my expectations. It reminds me a lot of my Hourglass pressed powder. Hourglass has a slightly creamier feel, but the finish and blurring effect of the Catrice powder are remarkably similar. For the price, I genuinely don’t think I’ve used a better-performing complexion line. Catrice has earned a permanent place in my makeup collection, and I highly recommend giving it a try.

Great, natural, matte coverage
I am posting a picture with minimal make up. Why? I have been stressed. My chin and jaw is covered in bright red deep cystic acne. Very sad. But with a few drops of Catrice foundation and my usual Loreal infallible concealor, I look natural. My skin looks almost flawless. I even needed 1/3 of the usual amount of concealor. But! You can't see all that redness and bumps, can you? Just one. Minimized* 🪄 I live in humid Texas and have oily skin. I think this will withstand a nice 85 degree day by the splash pad with 45 percent humidity. Longevity and mattifying properties are promising! It looks like my natural skin too. I was concerned it would be pale, but it blended into my skin tone well. I'm natural ivory most of the year anyway. My only dislike: It grips the skin fast! No wiggle room, blend out ASAP. I think blending with fingers is better as my sponge soaked it up like biscuits and gravy.

Luxury Foundation at an affordable price.
I'm blown away. I wore this foundation for the first time ever for an outdoors event in horrible humidity, and it held up beautifully! Now that E.L. Double Wear has been reformulated, I found myself scrambling to find something that would work in a similar way. This foundation is light, almost as thin as water and yet, the coverage is fantastic and is so is the durability and wear. It's easy to apply and blend, buildable, and because it's so thin i used a thin, flat foundation brush and was able to do my entire face with one dropper. You can do more for more coverage of course. I'm a fan. I'm in between shades but the beauty of this is that you can get 1-3 different shades for less than a bottle of DW. recently tried the Natasha D. High Glam foundation and though i loved their shade range that foundation never ever set on me. It stayed wet and tacky on my face for hours! For the price, you honestly can't beat this. Note: I like matte finishes. I do not like glowy foundations so take that into account. I have normal skin that leans a bit dry on the perimeter and slightly oily in the T-zone. If you have dry skin, Just be sure to moisturize and prep your skin but i don't think you will need to set this with spray. A light powder will work for you to set it. I used both a bit of powder and a bit of setting spray and was outside in humid weather for over 3 hours. Wore beautifully. Adding this to my top 3 favorites. Impressed. I hope this helps those of you out there lost at sea now that they took or beloved Doube Wear away.

Updated: Finally! From a tough foundation reviewer.
Update: the color of the foundation has changed to more orange-y base tone, which wasn’t like that when I first opened the bottle. I use foundation every day so it’s not like it’s been sitting around for years. Just a month or two. I’ve noticed the mattifying properties don’t work as well as they did in the beginning as well. Part of why I loved it (other than what I listed) is that it says put. But I’ve come to find that that means even the slightest smidge will ruin the smoothness on your face. Goes on smooth but if it’s touched, it cakes and balls up. Might try a lighter color and see if that works better with the color changing oxidation but I’m still on the hunt for the perfect foundation. After 15 years searching for an inexpensive foundation that fit my shade, I believe I found it. I have fair, combination skin. I needed something that would mattify my oily spots without over drying my dry spots. I would always end up getting flaky skin spots surrounded by melted, oily, cakey foundation. This foundation not only is my perfect shade (08 fair beige) but it’s matte without being over drying. The coverage is buildable without being cakey. It’s light and liquidy going on and as you blend it in it turns into a creamy, matte finish. I pair it with Rimmel Stay Matte primer. Blend with a makeup sponge. That’s it! I don’t need powder to keep it on, it lasts all day. No patches, no caking, no melting! I seriously would stock up with this if makeup never expired. Things to note: It has a light, almost bakery fragrance. But my sensitive skin hasn’t had any reaction. The dropper style applicator is amazingggg. I don’t know how I’d ever go back to trying to shake out product from a bottle. It comes off easily with makeup removing facial wash. It is matte so you won’t get any dewy looks. So far, no issues and I love it!

Overall, a good formula. Definitely will repurchase
Honestly, I love this formula. It wasn't the right color for me, but I still use it as a bronzer/contour. It's not too heavy, and it's a water and silicone base (which is important to know for your skin complexion). It's not super high coverage- definitely could NOT cover up a tattoo. It blends best if you have moisturized skin, because it's easier for the product to blend and won't be as patchy. It collects under my eyes a little bit even with powder- I think that's just a me-thing though. It says 24-hours durability, and I think that's accurate if you set it and aren't sweating or accidentally wiping it off. It's a medium coverage, I would say, and I think it's a good product to even the skin tone out. For me, it looks like normal skin (but I also spray with a setting spray while applying to make it set nicer) but be careful not to be too cakey or it'll look cakey. I wouldn't say this is very sticky- it's honestly more of a runny foundation (hence the dropper). Makeup is going to look like makeup, but since this is a really runny-liquid foundation, try to stick to more liquidy products to help it stay blended together. If you match it nicely, it's a good natural look I'd say. I'm more of a pale person (think, average white girl) and don't do any of the tanning beds, and I actually use the 010 Light Beige (and switch to 030 Sand Beige during the summer months when I'm tanner. It has a yellow undertone for the most part. I thought it looked peachy on me for awhile but I was just iron-deficient, so keep that in mind if the palest/yellowest foundations always look pink/peachy on you.

Catrice for the win!!
I think I’m in love and I finally found a foundation that works with my extremely sensitive skin. It’s so creamy and silky and full coverage all in one. It goes on thin. Its blends so easily and I love the applicator my match was perfect. I love the matte finish because one of was end of the day my face wasn’t extremely oily and I didn’t break out or itched at all. Please send me products!! fyi in the picture I’m using catrice under eye brightener

Not good for oily/combo skin
Found this as listed as highly rated foundation for oily skin. It is NOT good for oily skin. My mainstay is Revlon ColorStay foundation which lasts me about 8 hours before I start feeling oily and gross on my forehead and nowhere else. Catrice lasts about 3 hours, if not less. And then EVERYWHERE on my face gets oily, feels sticky, and the product lifts off with every touch. If you touch anywhere on your face for an itch or to remove cat hair (lol), the product you touch will bunch together, leaving bare patches. No amount of setting spray, baking, or setting powder saved me from looking like my face was wet and fresh out of the shower. For dry/normal skin types, it’s probably fine. Hence the 2 star and not 1 star. Aside from my oily skin gripes, the colour matched what is advertised, it went on nice and smooth, is full coverage as advertised, and it smells really nice (though if you are sensitive to strong smells - avoid. It did make my eyes sting a bit). The texture of the product right at application is VERY nice, it’s a shame it doesn’t stay that way on oily skin. - Mrs. Grimwold
