Buffalo Bills 14oz Original Beef Jerky Shots (80 mild flavored beef jerky circles per bag)

Got the pepper version and this jerky is disgusting. No flavor, texture is terrible. This company normally makes good jerky but all their circle style jerky is terrible. Just buy wild bills jerky and you won’t regret it

I've ordered a few times now with Buffalo Bills, and have tried a couple varities of their snack sausages, a couple of their country cut jerky and now most recently this product. This product has excellent flavor. I'm detecting slightly more spice then their other teriyaki flavored products, and possibly slightly sweeter as well. If memory serves the country cut was a bit more on the soy/smokey side although it too had a slightly sweet and spicy flavor. This product unlike the country cut and a couple of their other products is chopped and formed as opposed to whole slices of meat, but the texture is good for such. (I've had chopped and formed jerky that didn't have good texture at all). I do think I enjoy the country cut just a bit more due to it being whole slices, but this is a nice alternative and one I would order again due to the flavor being a but different. (Well at least to me. :) )If I were to give a rating, I'd say their whole meat jerky is the best, closely followed by their chopped and formed (I've also had their venison jerky, which is also chopped and formed), followed by their snack sausages. Mind you, their snack sausages are good, but I enjoy their jerky the best.Shipping, simply to state this (I actually had someone accuse me of being "coy" for stating this in another review via the comments section) is via US Mail, and is always very fast.ADDENDUM: I've now also tried a different flavor of this same product, the peppered jerky. The pepper is well applied, enough to have a bit of spice but far from overwhelming. The flavor of the jerky proper without the pepper I'd describe as a mild teriyaki, it's sweet without being distracting from the meat. Again this is a chopped and formed jerky, but they also sell whole sliced jerky that is also excellent. Consider this to be five stars for the peppered beef as well.

SUMMARY:The idea behind these jerky shots is to give you a bite size easy to carry jerky snack and in the aspect it seems to perform ok. You get a lot of meat in each bag (though you go through it quickly). I was very dissapointed with taste and texture of the meat. The taste was very flat, almost waxy in nature. The texture can only be described as slightly greasy.PROS:-Lots of bang for your buck.-Bite Size Shape wont wear out your jaw.CONS:-Unsatisfactory flavor and texture.OVERALL:All in all its a decent buy, and I would probably buy it again when I need an easily accesible snack that I can take with me. But the lack of bold flavor and the greasy texture make this far from being one of my favorites.

All in all, a good value and good taste. This product is formed jerky (made from small pieces of meat pressed together) rather than solid pieces of dried meat, so if you only like the latter, this isn't for you. That said, I prefer more traditional jerky and I still enjoy this. It's not as tough to chew as traditional jerky, and the teriyaki flavor is slightly sweet and peppery without being overly salty. I also like that it's easy to portion out a few jerky circles and know how much you're eating, and the price isn't bad for jerky.

First off let me say that I like salt, I put salt on most of the things that I eat but these were so salty that they were almost inedible. I am diabetic so I eat a lot of meat snacks because they are low in carbs and most jerky is pretty lean. I took these to work to share with a buddy who is also diabetic and he could not eat more then one. I don't know if I got a bad batch or if they are all that way. He purchased the teriyaki flavor and they were awesome. No problems with shipping and packing arrived quickly

I didn’t even want them as dog treat. The worst jerky I have ever eaten in my life. Look like fungus. They were pure sugar tasting and fungal growth on them. Disgusting would never recommend them not even for a pet.

I have been buying this brand for years! Lower in sodium and higher in protein than most. I try to always have some at home. Great price for how much jerky comes in each package.

I love round beef jerky, and I've had my fair share over the years. I decided to order Wild Bill's jerky shots because of the brand name, as I love their other jerky.I couldn't wait to tear into the package when it arrived. I grabbed a piece and it crumbled in my hand. Weird, but I tried it anyhow. Oh my goodness. It was disgusting!!! It was sooooooo soft and ridiculously flavored that I spit it out. I felt a few more pieces in the bag and they were all as soft as the first piece and crumbled with me just touching them.I've never had beef jerky do this before. I'm not sure if this is how it's made or if I got a bad batch but it's gross. Hopefully my cats will like it because I'm sure not eating it!
