After wearing a Rolex Submariner for years, I was looking for a less pretentious, lighter, and more legible watch.This one fits the bill perfectly. There's no misreading this one, as the hands are broad and simple, and the second hand is completely different from the other two. I can read this watch at a glance, which is important for my aging eyes.The clean design is also very pleasing. It is a totally "form follows function" watch.I did bring a modification, ordering and installing a black metal expandable wristband (18mm wide) to replace the leather strap that the watch comes with.In the summer heat, I find a leather strap unpleasant. The black metal wristband looks pretty similar to the original black strap and in no way detracts from the clean design.Only one (small) regret, the second hand doesn't do the 2-second jump at the end of the minute that the railway clocks are noted for.I'm very pleased with this watch, and recommend it highly to anyone who wants a highly legible but handsome wristwatch.

This is my second watch of this type. My first was lost when I unfortunately left it in a locker at the YMCA after a work-out and someone absconded with it. It took a bit of a search to find another but I was delighted. This is exactly like the one lost - comfortable band, large face that's easy to read and a distinctive second hand. A terrific watch.

This product was exactly like it’s picture. It’s sexy and timeless worh a classic bauhaus inspired design. It’s wonderful.

This watch is beautiful and accurate and has held up to daily wear for almost six months now. My boyfriend gets lots of compliments on the style and loves to show it off. A couple of our friends bought the same one because it's so classic and simple that it goes with just about anything.

Like the watch but it loses time and have to replace the battery. Annoying and additional expense.

Awesome watch. I can't stop wearing. A few minor dislikes I have are that from a distance the watch is pretty unsubstantial, the leather strap smells weird (kinda like weed), the strap is thin and feels like it could break in the future, and the face is smaller than expected. Otherwise it got here quickly, looks great to me and is comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Worth the price 110%

I have owned Mondaines before. This feels like a very cheap knock-off, with the feel of a 1980's chinese product. It is like something from a dollar store. THis was a mistake. The comparable models at a local watch store here in Boston show much higher quality. It isn't worth my time to chase the sellers down, but I do have buyer's regret here.

Great watch for those with failing eyesight - very easy to read (in daylight).Immediately sparks images waiting for a train at a Swiss train station.Not quite the ‘stop-to-go’ replicating the station clocks, but that was known going in. The image is the primary reason for the purchase (and the star rating). Future performance may adjust the rating.

This is an excellent watch and a truly iconic design. The classic is the superior model in my opinion - simple, bold and visually clutter-free. I've seen the various models, and dislike the intrusion of the date and other features on a number of them.Having initially ordered an Evo, largely because I wanted the mesh strap, I wasn't impressed. Yes, it was stylistically very close to the classic but I'm not a fan of the new curved metal casing. I wanted the flat and straight lines of the classic. I also love the brushed metal of this model (You can choose between polished and brushed stainless steel) and the Evo, with its curved, polished steel and mesh bracelet felt too 'shiny'. I also agree with another reviewer that the curved glass distorts the view of the face on this model if not looked at straight-on. One thing that may be in the Evo's favour (depending on your taste) is that it has black baton hour markers as opposed to the Classic's flat markers.My only (small) criticism is regarding the leather strap. The design is excellent. Simple black with a red underside which echos that striking second hand (the product photo shows a tan colour but I was happy to receive the red, as stated in the item description). At this price range I think the leather strap should retain its design but be sturdier, similar to some of the Mondaine Helvetica straps or the thick leather strap of the Stop2go. Mondaine do state on their website the lifespan of the leather straps is between 6 to 8 months. That said, from a design perspective, the black stap perfectly compliments the watch face.Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase, especially for the price I paid. Im a 'Classic' fan all the way - unless Mondaine can reduce the cost (significantly) and the size (slightly) of the Stop2go - then I'll be getting that one too!

Semplice ed elegante, ottimi materiali e prezzo adeguato. Molto soddisfatto. cassa con finitura spazzolato migliore degli ultimi modelli lucidi, almeno per i miei gusti.
