Asafoetida (Hing) Organic 2.8 OZ. Improved Packaging and formula after customer feedback

I may never be able to try this... I can't twist or pry the lid off the can! I may have to break the plastic insert in the top to access the product. (But I think the spice must be strong - I can smell it on my hands just from struggling with the doggone container.)Update: The company was very concerned about this can. Immediately offered to send a replacement in a different kind of packaging. And then they sent a replacement even before I responded. 5 stars for their response! Can't rate the product higher until I use it more. I bought it because I'm on a special diet for irritable bowel syndrome, and it's supposed to take the place of onion and garlic (which I can't eat). I'm not yet convinced it really replaces onion and garlic, but I haven't experimented with it enough yet.

4 stars not because of the product, but because of the container. Nightmare to pry the lid off. One of these suction deals you can never tweak the right twist. I simply immediately transferred the content to a recycled spice jar. Nice their label peeled super easy and stuck right back on the new jar. Other than that, thanks for creating an organic version of this awesome spice.

Changing my review to 5 stars for the product replacement I got, the replacement I got for letting the company know that the one I got the first time was not strong and I had given my feed back about their pacakaging , both were improved to extrem extent. I am very particular about my Hing in my cooking, my Rasam(South Indian lentil soup) I need a strong tampering of strong Hing and jeera. Very happy I got the best quality Hing and impressed by the customer care of the company. Hope it stays the same.

It says extra strong but it isn't strong enough to add a lot of flavor to a pot of soup or anything with any small amount. I want to get some that's uncompounded.Update: They gave me a stronger version of it and it is a few times stronger, I still want to try the uncompounded version but I appreciate the fact that they listened to my review and gave me a stronger version. I give them 5 stars for excellent customer service.

I had tried another product and was not happy, this one seems to taste better and gut friendly.

I have been using the golden mix by Inner Flame which is rally a good seasoning for soups/vegetables and decided to try their Asafoetida. It was really good and is also gluten free which has been my recent focus. Smells incredibly fresh!

Purchased for a recipe but have not used it yet. Am keeping it in my freezer due to the smell.
