CURED my dogs!!!!!
This little device has totally fixed our dogs' barking problem in just a couple of days. At first I only bought one and figured I would use it on the dog that barked the most (we have a lab and a beagle). It worked immediately on the lab, he learned after one wearing of the collar that he shouldn't bark as he runs through the yard with the beagle. The problem was that after he learned, the collar would still correct him when the BEAGLE barked!! That just wasn't fair so I bought one for the beagle too. He also learned immediately that barking wasn't necessary when running through the yard. :) Their barking has decreased immensely even when they aren't wearing the collars!! These are dogs that used to howl (beagle) and yelp (lab) so loud when we got home from anywhere (even if we had only been gone for 20 mins) that the whole neighborhood would hear when we let them outside. Now they still have fun racing with each other to the back of the yard but they do it silently :) :) :) I recommend this collar wholeheartedly!!! I only put it on them when I know that a barking situation is probable. Oh, and the shock that they get does not seem to hurt them, they just shake their head and then stop barking. Our dogs also use electric fence collars and I thought that this might confuse them but the warning beep is so different that they understand the difference.

Never again.
I bought this for my 20 pound terrier. He barks pretty much incessantly and I've been at my wits ends for months trying to find a solution. I've always been adamantly anti-bark collar, but I finally broke down, read a zillion reviews and ordered this one. I returned it after 2 days and will never use another shock collar after the experience I had.First of all, the directions were really insufficient, and there were extra parts in the box that I had no idea what to do with due to lack of information. This is really a problem, there should really be clear, and complete instructions included in the box. I finally got the collar put together and onto my dog. It sat silent through several rounds of barking and I started wondering if it was on incorrectly, or broken. Finally, while I was in the kitchen and my dog was in the living room I heard it beep after he barked. Then it beeped again. Then my dog yelped. Then he yelped again, and again and again. This thing was being triggered to shock him after he yelped in pain from the shock! What the heck would have happened if he was home alone? How long would that loop have continued? How many times would he have been punished for reacting to pain? I took the thing off him immediately feeling sick to my stomach.Next day, after several rounds of barking I decided to try it one more time. About 15 minutes after putting it on him, he was running around the house, playing, and the beeping sounded again. He was not barking or making any noise, it was being triggered by him moving around. At that point, I was pretty mad and upset. What a piece of junk. I don't know anything about the technology used, but it seems to me that it shouldn't be that hard to design something that isn't triggered by movement. Completely unacceptable. The only positive thing I can say is that returning the collar and getting refunded was very easy. The company was no problem to deal with, unfortunately their product is awful.

If your dog barks at leaves falling somewhere in Europe like mine DID
It does the job. Okay, it sounds off at nothing sometimes. You have to tighten the collar so that it seems really too tight on the dog. It only seems too tight to us though. If your dog barks at leaves falling somewhere in Europe like mine DID, it's a slight discomfort to him in order to rid the greater annoyance for you and neighbors. Aggressive barking MUST be dealt with aggressively. Mamby-pamby halfway excuses only prolong the agony. My young Black Lab likes to hear himself bark, announces his presence to all people, cats, birds that fly into his radar, other dogs, unseen aliens, etc. He was especially barkful while in the truck. He does not understand what needs to be alerted, and what does not. He even barked at people on bikes a hundred yards away, and continued to bark when the bike had gone out of sight. Default option is to BARK at it! I should have named him Barkatus. He had no idea what to make of the beeps. "Maybe there really are unseen aliens in here!" He first heard it while on the couch, and tried to find the critter that made the sound under his couch-cover, between & under the pillows, etc. It was so cute to watch him search. After not finding the source, he didn't get on the couch for two days. lolIn the weeks I've used the collar, the hound has only been bitten at level one twice. He gets the idea. THIS IS NOT CRUEL like some left-coast vegan, animal rights airhead would un-think. It is a tool to help set boundaries. Believe it: they want to know where the boundaries are, and you can encourage bad habits with halfway methods that serve only to confuse the dog. This works quickly, therefore the dog is not being confused .... except from where the noise is coming. He figured that out quickly too.Travel in the truck is quieter now, even without the collar. He still sees everything that moves, but he is careful how he alerts me. Now if I could find something to stop his incessant licking ....
