It would work fine during the day
The camera was working then the IR no longer works. It would work fine during the day. I contacted the seller and he said to send it back. I sent it back and he said it wasn't covered under warranty and now he won't respond or send the camera back. Not happy

Old Model...
This camera is the older model that Alarm.com sells...the new model that I would suggest buying is V721W which is sold by Alarm.com also, it works great with our Vivint Security System as long has you already have the camera upgrade with your system.

DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA
The camera looks solid and it connected very easily but it has the worst picture ever.... Its like comparing a Nintendo DS to an ATARI. Only 5 Frames Per Second recording, bad graphics and really bad alert triggers, not to mention that night vision is really good for 10' at most. Not worth $300.00

Look elsewhere
Two of these units have failed in my house, almost a year apart. They slowly start exhibiting issues and will cease working after some time. The first camera began to randomly turn on the infrared lights during the day, turning the video into a bright white/blue image from which no detail could be discerned. The second camera would not boot after a factory reset. The manufacturer refuses to acknowledge the issue. These cameras have either a hardware or software flaw, which was alluded to by a service agent whilst troubleshooting the problem. There is a newer model, though if it's anything like this camera, it would be to your advantage to look at it with a skeptical eye.Pro:- High quality images- Alarm.com interface works well- WirelessCon:- Expensive- Poor reliability- 5fps limitation- Arduous installation process that must be repeated each time the wifi password is changed- Narrow FOVYou are rolling the dice with this camera. Look elsewhere.
