Usefulness of shims
I bought these to remove a mirror, which had been glued down to the back of a wardrobe door. It was useful to have various thicknesses and to be colour coded. However the thinner ones were too bendy for banging behind the mirror.If there was ever another job requiring shims I would purchases wooden ones. You do need to purchase shims which are very fine one end and then become increasingly thicker, ie wedge shaped.

Really handy
Bought these to help install a new double glazed unit which they did just fine, the range of different sizes within the pack made that job really easy, but can also be used in many other situations where a shim is needed to help adjust a gap.
