Bread Scoring Lame Green

The product, the brotform lame was very thin, it is a piece of plastic that is about 1/4" thick with a small razor blade on it. I think i would have been more cost effective to go out and buy a box of razor blades, the company says that professionals use it to score 300 to 500 loaves a bread a day... ummm not sure if it would with stand it. I did get a full refund for the product and the shipping since the shipping was more than the piece itself so i am ok with that and the emails were very nice. just not pleased with the item

Realize this is basically a razor blade on a stick. From the product picture, it looks as though the blade cover is reusable, but now that it's in front of me, it looks like it's to protect it during shipping. I have a tough time imagining how I'm going to store this "adult-safely" in a kitchen drawer.I wonder if one of the other bread scorers has a better solution for protecting the thing in the drawer?
