My Cats Will Have Nothing To Do With This Stuff- WTH? CALL ME A LIAR (Railroaded By Cats)
After having such a great reaction to the Digestive support tablets from this company, I decided to try this as well for our cats. Let's see what happened..WHAT IS THIS LIKE?This is a powder. The idea is that you put a quarter of a scoop or so into the food you feed your cats and they eat it up. It smells like powdered liver mostly with other things added.HOW DID MY CATS LIKE IT?Well, after trying MULTIPLE times to get my cats to eat this, anything that touched it was avoided and they refused it, period. I was about ready to write this review and for fun, opened the jar to put in front of them waiting to see the cringe. To my utter shock, one of the cats took a nosedive into the jar and tried to snort it.When I removed my hand, I had powder on it, and she was licking my hand like she had not eaten in a decade.Great. Now after trying this many times, one of our cats decided that she wants to eat the stupid powder out of the jar. Let's go see what the other cat will do... (runs off to find other cat)OOOWWWWW Okay this is really weird. The other cat saw the powder on my finger lunged at me and tried to eat my finger. As in with teeth. He NEVER does that.Sure. For one month I tried to get these characters to eat anything with this powder on it. They would not touch it. Same food, same everything. Now they are happily eating in the kitchen with this powder on the food after trying to consume my finger with the powder on it.Hmmm.I GUESS I CHANGE MY STORYSo, at this point, I guess I can say that I change my story. The cats LOVE this stuff. They love it so much that they not only will eat any food with it in it, but they will also try to eat my finger if I dip it in the powder... until next week.Cats.OMG.THE BOTTOM LINEWell, in schizophrenic cat world where one day they won't eat and the next day they consume everything within a mile of them, this powder went from outcast forever to the most highly valued commodity in the house. If you wanna try it, good luck with that. You might get a finicky reaction. Just wait a few weeks, maybe it will change for you like it did me.MY RATINGWell, I take this from two stars to four. I take it only to four because quite frankly this whole review has been railroaded by my nutty cats and I just don't even know what else to say. HAHAHA

It really works!
My cat Schroeder has a problem with eye discharge. And he flips out if I try to wipe the corners of his eyes and clean him up. The vet said that the discharge is possibly caused by a herpes virus that affects cats and that many felines are affected by it. Whatever the cause, I figured this would be something that Schroeder would just have to live with but when I saw this Smartfido Tear Stain Support Powder, I was intrigued and decided to give it a go to see if it could help him.I’ve been giving this supplement to Schroeder once a day in the evening with his evening meal for about two weeks and I can definitely say that it works! It has drastically cut down on the amount of discharge that forms at the corners of his eyes. Some days, his eye area is completely clean which is so nice to see. When there is discharge, there is much less than before he was on the supplement. One annoying thing, however, is the measuring spoon that comes with the powder. Depending on the size of your cat, the dosage is either a 1/4 tsp or 1/2 tsp. But the measuring spoon is a full tsp... 🙄 It’s not the biggest deal in the world but for easier dosing, it would have made much more sense for the spoon to be 1/4 tsp. Go figure. All in all, this is an excellent product that I will continue buying for my cat. I’m so glad I gave this a try and found something to help his eye booger problem. 😜

My cats will actually eat it and it seems to work!
One of my cats has an ongoing issue with eye drainage in one eye only. It will stop for a while, then return. Not sure if he gets a hair in it (probably not because they are all on my clothes), he gets it irritated fighting with my other cat, or just an ongoing issue. Taking him to the vet is a major thing and so far home remedies have cleared it up until the next time. This product seems to really help. I've used it for several weeks and no return of drainage. And he and his adversary seem to really like the taste. In fact, before I opened package one had knocked it off the table trying to get into it. This is amazing as they usually like nothing. Two issues which takes off a star. Be careful opening it, scoop in dug down in powder and you'll lose some getting it out. My biggest problem is the scoop size. I gave my cat full scoop two days before realizing it held a full teaspoon. Dose is 1/4 to 1/2 depending on size of your cat. He didn't seem to have any ill affects, but why not at least make it a 1/2 tsp? However, you get a lot of doses for a reasonable price. Give it a try, just remember the scoop size.

Not just for Fido. Has really helped my cat!
My cat suffered an incident with a tear duct in one eye when he was a small kitten. Surgery isn’t an option, and it’s more unsightly than anything. He has one eye that leaks, especially when he’s relaxed. I’ve grown used to the dark stain under that eye, but when I saw this, I thought it was worth a try. It’s simply awesome. Not only is the stain clearing up but his eye is leaking much less than it used to. I’m absolutely delighted! My only suggestion would be to make this available as a liquid. It’s fine as is over wet food, although the powder does occasionally put him off for a few seconds because it makes him sneeze. Over dry food it’s more of a problem. It trickles down between the bits and some of it ends up at the bottom of the dish.Five stars, though, because he likes it and it works! If he’s happy, I’m happy.Thank you for reading my review.
