a must have for dementia
This product is great for my dementia parent. It is big and simple. It is easy to read and see. The simple black screen easily stands out from its background so that my dad can 1. identify it from the surroundings and 2. read it .Having this on the counter allows him to have something to know the date and time and even day.Calendars (even big ones) have too much information to sort through for him to find .. what day it is.This also has the time of day, which helps him to know or confirm his routine. It also says if it is AM or PM .. if it is morning or evening. This helps him know if it is 10 in the morning or 10 in the evening. This clock has helped him feel more confident,He knows he does certain things in the "mornings" he knows he gets ready for bed in the "evening"Before this clock, he woke up one night.. and thought it was morning. He was confused and anxious and scared because it was still dark. He knows when he wakes up it is morning and should be light. This clocked helped him understand that it was still evening and he should go back to sleep .

Bright and Readable
Bought this for an elder relative who is having trouble remembering the day of the week and has eyesight issues too. It’s just brilliant - very bright and easy to read. The frame is plasticy and feels somewhat cheap but actually looks fine. I can’t believe how this simple thing has so positively impact my relative’s life. Would buy again.

I can read it without my glasses on! Worth every penny!
I’ve had this sitting in my Amazon Cart for over a year, primarily because I felt it was a bit pricey for an alarm clock, even one with oversized digiits, as this one has, for the vision-impaired).I finally took the “plunge” and decided to get it this month.Wow! I’ve never had these types of feelings about an appliance before, so this is unfamiliar territory for me, but I’ve got to say, I LOVE this clock! It tells me everything I need to know, the moment when I wake up every day, and the digits are bright, crisp, and large enough to easily read without my glasses! It’s so nice knowing what day it is, and whether it’s day or night right from the moment I wake up now! No more futile trips to the bank or the Post office because I am unaware that it’s a Sunday. No more breakfasts prepared at 1am because my dog woke me up in the middle of the night by sticking her tongue in my ear, and I mistakenly think it’s morning.Worth every penny!

Is it today?
I needed to find a clock for my 92 year old mother who was having the onslaught of dementia. Part of her confusion was wondering what date, day, and/or time it was. This digital clock was perfect. Not only did the clock tell the items above, but also displayed if it was morning, afternoon or night. It even has a display the states "Before Dawn". If you need a time piece that "displays" it all. this is the one to purchase. Functionality is unappareled.

Great for Elderly Mother
She has two. One in the living room & one in the bedroom. She loves them.

AC Adapter Housing Beware
AC Adapter housing burst while plugged into the wall. I noticed the clock had moved slightly and went to set it back straight and noticed the prongs in the outlet and the rest of the housing dangling below connected to the red wire still. Part of the housing is missing and I have not been able to locate it yet so it went flying somewhere. This is extremely scary and I am worried this would have caused a house fire!

Great for Seniors!
I got this for my mother. She is 97 and has a hard time seeing regular clocks. She also has a hard time remembering what day it is. This works great for her. There was one issue, a strange one at that! She is deaf, and uses a TTY. There is a signal light to let her know when the phone is ringing. Apparently, when you plug this thing into the same circuit as the signal light, it causes the light to come on and stay on! We had to move it to another location and plug it into a different circuit. The only thing I do not like about this is that it does not have a battery (unless there's a rechargeable internal one I don't know about that isn't mentioned in the instructions). This means if you want to hang it on the wall, you need to have it close to the plug (the cord is maybe 3 feet long), and you'll have to look at a wire snaking down the wall.

Stopped working but company was very responsive
The clock was working fine for all of 3 months and then just completely stopped. I was very frustrated as it was a gift for a 93 year old woman that depended on it. Huge kudos to the company, they were very responsive and sent out a brand new clock once they confirmed that my issue was valid. I very much appreciate their response. The clock is extremely useful, particularly for seniors. Thank you!
