This heating pad fits well and stays in place. You can move around and it stays on. The channels keep the inside material from falling to the ends like the U shape style does, holding the heat where you want it. I have 2 bad discs in my neck and this works well for me.

My massage therapist urged me to buy something like this for use at home to help relax neck and shoulders after long work days. One side is a flat brushed fabric and the other has a velvety texture which is nice on my face. It can be either frozen or heated and comes with an instruction card (the instructions are also printed on a fabric tag attached to the product). It is nice and heavy - drapes well. It is filled with rice, so you cannot wash it. If you want to do more than spot clean, suggest you find a cover that you can use with it. Once heated for about 2 minutes in the microwave, it stays warm for quite a while. I have not tried it frozen. My only complaint might be that the neck hole feels a little small... not right away but after wearing for awhile it starts to feel a little tight in an anxiety-producing way. Other folks probably won't have that problem.Edit: Someone from the company emailed me right after I submitted this review and offered to send me a new one with a larger neck hole at no charge. I am happy to report the adjustment makes the wrap much more comfortable to wear and I'm very pleased with the customer service.

This is good to have for anyone who needs instant relief of shoulder tension and pain. I use it regularly - often a few times a week and am thankful for the warmth that helps loosen whatever is going on in my neck, shoulder, or lower back. It's easy to 'cook' in my microwave, then apply and secure, and because it's weighted it works if I'm standing or sitting upright with it on. Even with regular usage it still holds the heat well and is effective. Moist heat is better at offering up pain relief, and it's nice to not have to worry about damaging wires or the fire hazard of an electric pad if I fall asleep with it on too. This heat wrap is made well; designed perfectly to specifically fit shoulders, but can also be used elsewhere easily; and it's priced right too. Highly recommended!

I love the 'my heating pad" from Nature Creation. I bought the odorless one because of my allergies, and it is great! It heats nicely, and it's very soft. I highly recommend this product.

Our whole family loves this. I've always fought with our flat heating pad trying to form fit around my neck and shoulders. I was so happy to see this existed. After a few minutes in the microwave I can throw it on and relax.

After putting in microwave for an extra 30 seconds it was very warm and felt great. However, it doesn't last more than 8-10 minutes before cooling down.

I have arthritis of the spine and shoulders. I've tried many products. This was works really well and hold and seems to hold the heat better and longer than others. The weight bothered me at first, but I don't seem to notice it so much how. For the shoulders and upper back I recommend this product. Getting up to reheat it several times, could present a problem.

This is the best cold therapy pack I have ever encountered. It provides just the right level of coldness. The weight makes you know that it is in place but doesn't feel heavy or like it is weighing you down. And I just love the way it secures with the Velcro tab. I put it in place, secure it with the tab and it stays exactly where I placed it while I go about doing things. Also the price is very reasonable. I haven't used it for heat therapy but expect to have the same great results.

...it doesn't cover the shoulders as much as the pictures show though. For any paraplegics or quadriplegics out there...this heating pad is the perfect weight for neuropathic pain and heat blocks those pain receptors. The neat thing is it's microwaveable; although it smells like rice cooking...at least mine does.Regardless of comments, this will be good outside on a cold, windy day. Consider it a warm scarf.The directions were unclear...and each microwave is different...but I put mine in for 5 minutes and it stays warm about 45 minutes.

This problem like many others said it didn't get hot enough...so the soft side your suppose to have against your skin is comfortable but I notice the rougher side was the hot side which was surprisingly hot but the material against your skin feels itchy, hence why its suppose to be worn on the other side. Its flawed and should of been thought I out properly. The brand magic bag has the right material for it and its keeps the heat hot. I had to return it for this reason unfortunately.

Bought this mostly for my husband who has titanium screws in his neck after a Jiu Jitsu accident and gets a stiff neck frequently in the winter. He loves it and I have loved it for my sore neck and shoulders from breastfeeding twins. The coverage is generous and it stays put even when I walk around. I'm glad I spent the money to get this one instead of the simple tube bean bag.

remember the old Magic Bags? This is like that except doesn't smell of buckwheat. Just rice. Nice! Also it is weighty. Immediately soothing. I guess you could make your own....Heats in the microwave. Heat lasts 25 min. That seems about how long newer electric ones last before they shut themselves off even when they aren't supposed to. And it gets as hot as you like. Very soothing. Good for home use, too bulky to travel with.

Bought this for my hubby and he uses it all of the time. It is generously filled with material unlike some others I have bought. I like the stitching as it keeps everything in place and the internal material doesn't move around. It is nice to have two choices of fabric to place against the skin. It stays hot for a while and is easy to microwave. The added weight gives that "ahh" feeling.
