But if you are buying this for CFP then read on:Pros:A great introduction to financial planning and financial mathematics.Touch bases most important topics.Cons:Most chapters are condensed and information is too less to clear the exam so you'll need more study materials.LOT of typos even in calculations and numbers.Nominal rate of interest is not explained clearly so would need to unlearn a lot of stuff for practical use.

Very good book for people interested in the field of financial planning or those opting for CFP exam of FPSB. The author herself was once a member of FPSB and is very learned and qualified. This is a best seller in this category and a must read. I took a long time to purchase the book as I did thorough research since the first edition had a very different cover and I thought this book would be a duplicate inferior copy but I was wrong. Amazon delivery was also before time. Thanks

Very good informative book with sample practical illustrations. Wish the author had given more illustrations in the book .

For beginners this book can be a good start
