Works exactly as expected.
We have been using this for the past few days and it works exactly as described. It is a high quality product (material and finish) and menu was easy to understand and follow. Made delicious brown rice and steel cut oat meal. Some people complained about magnetic power connection but this is better as you can quickly remove the unit from power plug and put it on the table. My only gripe is that additional bowls are expensive. I paid $90 for a used one (open box but not used). Bowl itself costs $55 bux which is outrageous.

Great product with minor issues
I love this product that does its job very well. Once mastered the use of it, the cooker consistently does its job well with great rice. Initially there are some calibration to user's tastes and habits. 1). the markings on inside of the bowl are a bit confusing and for reference only. For most types of cooking, the marking is grossly underestimated. e.g. I have to use water till 2 cups for rice of 1.5 cups. Otherwise, it is too hard/dry but this is just personal taste. 2). the button operation is a bit non-intuititve at first. When the power cord is plugged in, the warming light is on. In order to use menu settings to start cooking, I need to use cancel button to turn off warm button light. This is unnecessarily complex. Should allow users to just push menu and it will automatically work. Do not know why we need to turn off the warm light first. 3). we had a previous version with normal power cord but this version we have a trip-safe power cord with magnet connecting cord to the rice cooker (similar to the power plug from apple macbook). This is a great idea but my only complain is that the magnet here is too weak. It easily falls off with a very minor bump, unlike the Macbook which has a relatively strong connection. Thus, I have it falling off a few times during cooking which is annoying. Since this is a small portable cooker and I do like the idea but a stronger magnet will really help.

Save your money!!
I have owned this item for a few months and have yet to get a good pot of rice out of it. This is a complete waste of money. The instructions suck and I'm ready to trash this thing and get something that works. The worst part is it takes about 30 min to cook 3 cups and that to me is way too long when a$30.00 rice cooker cooks in about 15 minutes. What a disappointment.. In all fairness I waited to see if I could get it figured out prior to writing this review

good.
I wish the plug didn't keep falling off...Otherwise, good.

Sticky rice JUST LIKE we had in China!
This rice cooker is amazing! Our family just returned from a 2 week trip to China and we wanted sticky rice JUST LIKE they serve in China. I bought Sushi rice, rinsed 2 cups of it repeatedly until the water was clear (about 6 times), put it in the rice cooker with water up to the 2 line, and let it sit soaking for 4 hours. I then turned it on for plain rice and in about 20 mins I had the most AMAZING sticky rice! My whole family loved it!!

Nice Portable Rice Cooker
I bought this rice cooker to replace my big zojirushi that I have owned for 25 years-it finally gave out. We are down to being empty nesters, so we didn't need the huge rice cooker we needed when all the kids were at home. It works fine--easy to operate, very easy to clean and rice turns out fine in the smaller portions we need. My only complaint is that is takes a lot longer to cook rice than my old rice cooker for approximately the same result. Just plan ahead and start the rice a little earlier and you will be fine!

Inner pot coating is bubbling and chipping away
I like the overall performance of the rice cooker until the coating starting to bubbles and chipped away. We are afraid to use it now.

Bad quality
This rice cooker was only good for 6 months, then it stopped working properly. My rice has been wasted many times. I will not recommend this kind of model.
