I thought wood and bamboo ones were heavier, so I finally chose the plastic book stand. I haven’t bought any similar product, so I cannot make a comparison. However, I really think it is a wise decision.Even turning pages is quite easy I can turn pages with a single hand by using the book rest. Of course, I am not as skillful as that in the video. The upper clips press pages like two hands; when pulling out any page, it can be pulled out with a slight downward pressing force; inserting pages is easier, for it can be done by inserting them downwards. The clips use the principle of springs in a subtle manner. And the book holder features easy page turning.The adjustment of its height is easy as well. The height can be adjusted at will by pressing the button, and it can be fixed after loosening the button and making it get stuck automatically.By using reinforced plastic, its bearing capacity is outstanding. The range of application is extended by using stretched clips.I recommend the adjustable book holder with distinctive features.

Not terrible, but not excellent.I bought this book stand mainly for my iPad. Unfortunately the spring clips are pretty useless if you have any protector/case for your phone or ipad. You will resort to having to use the side hooks for your ipad.Another negative point is the width of the bottom of the book stand. It is extremely narrow (only half an inch on the widest part) and definitely is only meant for books that are less than 150 pages. I'm not really sure why they made the middle part of the ledge only a QUARTER of an inch. It would have been better to have just kept the width consistent. Plus, with an already narrow ledge and nothing at the bottom to secure the book to the stand, sometimes when turning a page, the whole book will slide out from the bottom. Very annoying.And while it holds my ipad, it doesn't really hold it when I lay down. I constantly find myself re-positioning my ipad back onto the narrow ledge. Again, because there is nothing really there to stop it from slipping out from the bottom.The spring on the back seems somewhat sturdy, but I'm not completely sure. It feels light and secure, but can also be moved pretty easily when you lightly pull. I have another book stand that is the same color but different brand, and I like it's latch locking mechanism better because it feels more secure.Sturdiness, portability, and easiness to fold are all pros, but so are the other book stands that look similar to this one.

As I have seen it mentioned elsewhere, this works best with thinner books, I do use mine with hymnals which are 1.5" thick, but they do not fit under the holders completely, but they do work. For smaller/thinner books and single sheets of almost any size I don't think you can beat it. Overall I like this very much and am glad I got it.

I feel tired when learning music, for I need to lower my head or hold a book with my hands. Finally I bought it after looking for an easier way or product.It’s suitable for music books and textbooks. Its height can be properly adjusted by pressing the button, making reading and study comfortable and easier and facilitating turning pages. Its stability is quite good as well.It’s a perfect product for students.

I am a student in nursing and my textbooks are huge and heavy. This book stand is not very sturdy and is made of thin plastic. I bought a metal one off eBay for cheaper and better quality.

I sometimes have to read for extended periods and this product is perfect for reducing hand strain. Adjustment and page turning is easy. After using one for awile I got a second one. 'Nuff said.

Clumsy, tippy & the bottom bookrest is way too narrow to hold more that a very thin volume. Leg adjuster requires two hands to operate. It's sitting on the shelf unused.
