I love the way he is able to articulate the deep struggles men face when trying to control their inner dog (temptation). I also appreciate the knowledge he provides both men and women on ways to combat and overcome these very struggles. He does a phenomenal job of providing real tips that men can actually put into practice now and amazing advice that women can utilize as well.For Males: Devon Franklin provides practical tips, tricks and guidance to mastering your temptation (drugs, money, women) so that you can gain control over your bad behaviors. The very behaviors that tend to break up families, destroy careers and demolish reputations.He teaches men ways to overcome being controlled by their flesh and show them how to lead with mastery over their minds and bodies. He provides relatable, contextual stories of times he had to fight temptation (even while being married to the beautiful Megan Good).I'm not a man, but if I was, this book would be my holy grail. It's jam-packed with practical advice and knowledge on being the master of your behavior, thoughts, and actions.For women: If you're curious about why a lot of men cheat.. read this book. If you want to know how to help the man in your life with his struggles.. read this book. If you want to learn more about having a successful, healthy relationship/marriage.. read this book.It is really a must read. It will not disappoint. It can help men and women alike. Initially, I bought this book merely to be supportive of DeVON Franklin. I celebrate the integrity of his persona; I also respect the quality and morality of his work in entertainment. While I realize no one's a saint and no one's achieved perfection, I'm always fascinated when a person is brave enough to be true to a higher standard even when they may work in an industry that readily rewards other behavior. BUT - OH GOODNESS THE BOOK IS SURPRISINGLY GOOD! Please forgive me for failing to even consider that I ACTUALLY NEEDED TO READ THE BOOK. (type out the embarrassed🙈emoji here). The book is so transparent, complete with first-hand testimony and revelation. I learned things about the male mind that changed my approach to certain things. I'm also elated to witness the emergence of men like DeVON that are "alpha" enough to face correction and accountability. He shares critical advice about gender and relationships, and he makes me feel that there's no longer any need for the BATTLE OF THE SEXES. This book fosters an understanding that we are all in this together as brothers, sisters, spouses & friends....as we overcome the flaws and deficiency of the human condition, books like "The Truth About Men..." will be important catalysts Congrats DeVON...You've Done an Amazing Job...You Are a Part of the Elevation of the Culture!

This book is one that I have and am currently recommending to my closest friends and family members. I not only feel that it’s a great read for men, it also good for women, singles, and married couples alike. It definitely helps to bring things into perspective. And contrary to some of the reviews about him “bashing men” or saying that they’re all “dogs”, this book is a great self help book. While I know that this book is primarily focuses on men, I realized that even as a woman, I have a lot of the Dog in me too. This is one I’ll definitely be reading again, with hopes to gain another new perspective.

I loved this book and it really struck a chord with me and helped me see a lot of the mistakes that have been holding me back for years. I've gone back and read it 3 times and love a lot of the messages it has for men and how we can become better partners and members of society. However - I do not believe that being religious is a requirement of being a good man. We've seen time and time again that religion really does not have much to do with how good a person's heart is. Too much reference to religion here.

I bought the book and cd to solidify learningProvided great resources from other experts in the field which was helpfulVery restrictive in his beliefs but nonjudgmental so if you are able to be objective you can benefit greatly from his perspective

Casual writing style so easy to read. Some info requires re-reading especially if like me this is all news to you. Explains the 'pull + push' & breadcrumbing behaviours of males who were already in a committed relationship. Glad I'm not a man. Fits as a grassroots guide as opposed to the deep Animus/Anima work of eg Robert Johnson they all provide understanding from different perspectives ergo answering the many many questions about men that I brought up without a father attended all girls school etc had no way of deciphering. His Christian beliefs are present but relevant, not preaching. Definitely recommend

This is a must have for men! I'm learning so much on how to tame the dog (lust).

This book has taught me so much about men and myself. Women also possess the dog in them too! This book teaches the reader how to recognize the “dog” and how to discipline the dog.
