The box is bright and eye-catching. I like that the packaging is black and yellow, just like the product. Everything was packaged very well. There is a strong odor to this product, like a "new tool" smell that seems to permeate the house. I definitely recommend opening this product in the garage or basement if the consumer is sensitive to odors. I was pleasantly surprised by how many items came in this package! Not only is there the metal detector, but there is a folding shovel with carrying bag and a canvas duffel bag for the whole lot included as well. I was very impressed by that.The added bonus items are a nice touch. I wasn't expecting those. I think the functionality of this product is the best part. I love how fun it is to use! As soon as I opened it and read the instructions, my entire family was out in the backyard using it to find treasures in the ground. We were working together towards a common goal, and everyone was excited to try it out. I am thankful that we found something we all enjoy doing together. The product works as advertised, and after a few minutes of adjusting the dials and learning how to use it, we were all enjoying our time with it. The odor this product has is very strong. I don't know if that's something that can be changed. When we were finished using the product, we packaged it all up in its carry bag and placed it in the kitchen. Even after cooking with strong flavors in the kitchen, I could still smell the bag from other parts of the house near the kitchen. I'm hoping that smell wears off as it sits, but it is very strong while it's new. The product is surprisingly easy to use. The instructions were clear and written well. There is still a learning curve to operating this machine, but it helps to read the instructions and then just go out and use it. Once the consumer runs it for a little while and gains some experience, it becomes easier to figure out. I am not a technologically-minded person and I was able to use it without incident. I was skeptical of how it would work, but it started picking up signals in our backyard and we dug up all kinds of metal items. We found bits of scrap rebar from back when our house was built, nails, screws, and a railroad spike! (My train-loving little boy was ecstatic!) There are all kinds of holes in my backyard now but it was all worth it. We had so much fun! We can't wait to take this to a park or beach and find some other treasures. My husband collects old coins and it would make him the happiest guy in the world to find some coins in the ground. It is packed up in its bag and ready for an adventure.I highly recommend this product for older kids and adults who like to spend time together and discover treasures. I think it's a great way to pass the time and get excited with each other.

This metal detector was easy to assemble, all packaging was in the box. It was ready to go in a matter of minutes. They even had a video I could watch as well. It is very lightweight that an adult or teenager could use. This is an affordable choice for a beginner. Within 15 minutes of me taking it out of the box and assembling it we were in our backyard looking for treasures. Right away it beeped and my daughter started to dig on the spot with the included shovel and sure enough she found a dime from 1954! This will give my family countless hours of fun! This thing works and I recommended anyone on a budget to try this right away!

Let me start out by saying that if you have never owned a metal detector like this one, I highly recommend that you read through the instructions before assembling for the first time. While it is not difficult to assemble, familiarizing yourself with the different components beforehand will make the process easier and less intimidating. I am a newbie and it took about 15 minutes to put it together.Next tip that I have is to be careful while installing the batteries. When removing the cover and pulling out the housing for the batteries, you will find that there isn't much wiggle room and the wires can break easily.Lastly, take heed to the additional information that the company sends prior to receiving because it will also help for getting the best use out of your metal detector.We purchased this because my husband is constantly losing keys, jewelry or even coins out in the yard. I can't begin to tell you how many times the lawnmower has found such things. That may sound silly but I am certain that this investment will save us in the long run.So far, I believe that this a high quality item. It does exactly what it says it will do.I cannot attest to the battery life as of yet but I would assume that is determined by how much you use it.It is easy to use. It takes a little getting used to maneuvering at first. There is somewhat of a learning curve but all in all, I am confident that this a quality product.

I bought this after my husband lost weight and lost not only his wedding ring, but his beloved USMC ring that his first wife, may she rest in peace, bought for him. I decided to search our yard, which is a double lot. I was concerned because I have a lot of joint issues and rheumatoid arthritis, and wasn't sure I could handle carrying it. I was also recovering from back surgery, which added to my concerns. It actually worked out well. I did it in small bits according to what my back could handle, and I think it wouldn't have posed a problem at all had I not been post op. Found some small metal items. No false alarms. No rings found, but yay! Found them deep inside the La-Z-Boy after we partially took it apart. Now my archaeologist daughter wants me to give her the metal detector, but I'm gonna have some fun with it before I hand it over for her to play with. It's a nice starter item for the hobbyist who wants to have some fun.

SAVED ME HOUNDREDS I'm no pro. I lost my white gold wedding band in the yard and ordered this immediately. No luck first round as I couldn't get it dialed to pick out specific metals to rule out all the junk lol But thats probably more my fault. once I ordered a "pinpointer" to pair with it I realized that you the importance of having both and the search was much easier/quicker and I FOUND my ring in minutes. And I had to search a pretty large area as I wasn't sure when or where exactly it fell off. Live saver !!! But A PINPOINTER IS A MUST I PROMISE.

si funciona. mi hijo y yo lo llevamos a probar a la playa y si detecta metales encontramos algunas fichas y algunos botes de cerveza. no encontramos nada de valor, pero pasamos una bonita tarde, que consideró que fue lo más importante.

Lo probé en la playa y si detecteba metales.
