Cheap and Nasty
Please Don’t Waste your time and money on these hooks, they are absolutely cheap nasty rubbish. They couldn’t hold up a bag of candy floss never mind a standard wooden handled spade, I tried 3 of these and they all just snapped off at the base of the thread. On closer inspection it is just a Cross head screw attached to the hook with a tiny amount of weld so as soon as any pressure is put on the hook the screw just breaks off!!!!These shouldn’t be allowed to be sold as they are not fit for purpose.

Not as robust as they appear
These hooks look very robust but they are not. The 'V' part of the is just tack-welded to a large screw. The whole is then nicely covered with pretty plastic but I have had a few that just shear either when screwing in or trying to bend slightly to adjust the orientation after screwing in. They're basically not too bad but certainly not the solid structure that they appear. Beware!

Hooked your money, weakly welded, just avoid
All it is, is a lightly spot welded screw attached to a Y hook. When installing i had 5 out of 10 fail.If you look at the photo, you will see that it is just an ordinary screw. It was so poorly welded, that you cannot even see any marks on it.I dread to think, if these hooks had of been installed, how and when my valuable tools would have started crashing to the ground.

Ideal for Garden Tools
Have bought these before and needed some more. Attached a piece of wood to my garage wall then screwed in hooks to hold some garden tools and other bits and bobs lying about garage floor. They are very strong and hold a good weight. Using them means I no longer have the tripping hazards I had previously. Just wish I’d bought them a long time ago!

fundamental design fault
This is the second lot of this type of screw in hooks that I have purchased in the last week and they are as bad as the last lot. Must be made by the same manufacturer. At the least resitance the weld breaks then you have to try and extract the screw section with a pair of pliers. Bought some hooks similar to this design about 10 years ago and they lasted that long. These don't last 10 seconds. Should not be on sale.

Not nearly as strong as they might look. Light duty use only.
The screw is induction welded to the hook, and the weld is poor at best. Two of six I installed into appropriately sized pilot holes in soft wood broke at the weld from moderate hand force screwing them into the pilot holes. I would not recommend using these in anything other than wall board or particle board, and only for lighter objects such as a broom. My experience is disappointing, to say the lease.

NO GOOD FOR HEAVY ITEMS
Not a very good product. One of the hooks was already broken even before they arrived! All they are is a simple normal screw, (badly) stuck to a hook, which is then covered in thin red rubber, which means you can’t see what a shoddy item they are. I returned them and got a full refund. Not very good at all. Avoid - especially if you’re considering putting any weight on them!
