M-D Hobby & Craft Silver Magnetic Steel Sheet 12"X12"

We recently moved and my room is much smaller than my previous. I had no place to hang my necklaces, so I bought this metal sheet and attached it to the side of my dresser with velcro. I then bought some magnets, and voila! Perfect. Space saving. Strong hold.

Th self-adhesive magnetic sheets I had bought worked well enough for my smaller 40k models, but I didn't like how weak they were with my larger models slipping along the bottom of my DIY carry case for my smaller sized armies.I got one of these sheets and cut it down to fit in place on the bottom. I thought I was going to have to get some liquid nail to attach it to the case, but nope! The magnetic sheets I had already stuck to the bottom of the case worked at gripping the sheet of metal. As you can see from the picture, my war dog with five 8x3mm magnets hold tight upside down even through rather vigorous shaking (I don't recommend this, but I had to do it. FOR SCIENCE!! The plate itself came off on try #3, but the war dog stayed stuck and didn't move).Wholeheartedly recommend this sheet metal for the lining of magnetic cases. It's thin/light enough to barely add weight yet the magnetic properties are akin to almost as strong as those Jucoci metal trays to come with their cases. Use Liquid Nails or other as strong adhesive for a more sure bond and I'd say the model won't fly off short of being flung down some stairs or out of a moving vehicle. However, the magnetic sheets I got worked just as good too for keeping things in place.

I am happy with the product for the price

I bought these to make a single use game board, reusable. So far so good. It is taking time, but things are looking hopeful.

Yes, it's magnetic, it does its job. But the edges, especially the corners, are so thin and sharp, we had to cover them in a thin rubber hose so our two-year old could play with is magnetic men on it.The hose keeps it from sliding around the table. I would've returned it, but I threw away the packaging away before realizing how dangerous this was.I would recommend that they at least round the corners.

I had a 12x12 piece of scrapbook paper that fit this metal sheet perfectly. A few coats of modpodge have protected it from humidity in the bathroom. The metal is great and all magnets I’ve used have stuck to it. It was shipped in perfect condition, no dents or scratches.
