A quick, informative read for insight into the world of DC Comics
First of all, this book is dated. It was published by DC Comics to commemorate the company's 50th anniversary in 1985. It is a short textbook that gives insight on the people and companies that helped turn DC Comics into one of the 2 main publishers of comic books.As the title suggests, 50 people/corporate entities are spotlighted. Everything and everyone from merchandising companies and film companies to comic book writers and artists to movie producers to actors who played superheroes in movies are mentioned herein. Some notables are Julius Schwartz, Neil Adams, Denny O'neil, the Salkinds (producers of the Superman films), and Adam West and Christopher Reeve.An interesting book for any fan of DC Comics!
