Expert Shield - THE Screen Protector for: FujiFilm X30 - Crystal Clear

Wow. Perfect fit and looks great. Assuming you are thoughtful and methodical when putting it on, which you should be, it is super easy to apply it to the screen. Although they contain a little attitude and cheek in tone (normally a fun touch, but these are just a wee bit snarky), the instructions on the package are crystal clear.I gave it 5 stars for fit, appearance, packaging and ease of application. Time will tell how well it actually protects the screen. It should work great to protect against scratches and scuffs, but I've previously broken two Giottos Schott glass screen protectors from point pressure, which I presume saved the screen's glass from breaking. I'm guessing this won't work as well against that one thing, purely as a function of the material properties, but suspect it will do well in every other regard.Very happy so far!

I would give the screen protector a 3.5 if I could. It's not quite an average 3.0 and not quite very good at 4.0. I've been through a fair share of different kind of screen protectors. This would rate slightly above average. Optically, it's very clear. Installation wasn't quite as smooth as I expected:On the realm of screen protectors, there are wet application (the original invisible shield) and dry application (similar to this product). The wet applications are typically easier because little pieces of dust can disappear after the soapy solution dries. Dry applications are typically much better optically, but very susceptible to dust. I was curious about the "silicone" layer advertised here. Would pieces of dust disappear?I don't think the silicone layer makes any difference. With small pieces of dust, you can usually save the screen from bubbles by peeling back with some Scotch tape, then using a new piece of tape to remove dust underneath the screen protector. In fact, this is exactly what is listed in the instructions. However, I found that the Expert Shield's "silicone", or adhesive, was too strong to be pulled back by Scotch tape. I was forced to use a finger nail, which bent the plastic slightly. I have a dust free installation now, but one corner won't sit flat. I'd rather a screen protector with slightly less strong "silicone" or with slightly less hard plastic.Overall, I like that it's optically clear. I'm not happy with my installation. Since I cannot give 1/2 stars, I will give 4 stars because this could be mostly my error, even though I've gotten pretty good at installing screen protectors.

This is my second experience with an Expert Shield screen protector. In short, it was easy to apply according to the supplied instructions. It went on perfectly on the first attempt. I love it. You can bet that the next screen protector I buy will be an Expert Shield!

It's an unbelievable screen protector in more ways than one, and it comes from someone who installed a hundred of them or more.First of all, it is FLEXIBLE, but seriously mechanical damage-resistant. Also, when it comes to applying this screen protector, you are amazed by the fact that neither the protector nor the substrate attract any dust! I understand that applying such items should be done in as much of a dust-free environment as possible, but then again, what place is reasonably dust free short of a "clean-room"? So, static charge is your enemy. And this product is very anti-static.So, when it comes to the flexible category of screen protectors, this one is the best one so far.

Excellent product, excellent customer service. I installed it when it arrived, but had a bit of a problem with my process. Was all set to look for a replacement on the web, when someone from their customer service sent me an E-mail to see how I liked it. I mentioned my problem, and they gave me some tips and sent me a brand new one at no cost. I just finished installing it and did so with only one speck of dust. So, I am quite satisfied. I would recommend this product to others. Be sure to read all the reviews, as there are some good tips on how best to install it. I would have been able to install it correctly the first time had I heeded some advice in the reviews.

Fits almost perfectly, with just a small bit around each side left uncovered (which makes it easier to install). So far, no issues with it.

The X30 LCD has a little ridged border around it. The Expert Shield I received was cut larger than the LCD itself so that it sat on this raised border. As a result, the edges around the border did not sit flat on the LCD. Also as a result, the first time I put the camera in a case, the edge of the screen protector caught on the fabric, bending the protector and ruining it. In the end it was thoroughly unsatisfactory for its intended purpose.UPDATE: The folks who make this item read this review and contacted me. They shipped me a new shield, and this time it was the right size (just fit the LCD, not overlapping the raised border). I don't know whether they modified the design or just shipped me the wrong size the first time, but the new one now fits correctly. So certainly the customer service is impressive. I'm provisionally upgrading it to 4 stars for now, but will report further once it has been in use for a month or so.

I purchased the Fujifilm X30 version. It went on easy with no bubbles and it is very clear.

This protector keeps up Expert Shield's high standards.This is my third camera to be protected by them, (D7100 and Fuji X30). Some reviewers have mentioned that the protector is cut a little small. I would agree - by about 1mm all round, but I was advised that the original model was an exact fit and was available on request. The slightly smaller protector was introduced because some people had trouble aligning the 'exact fit' protector . The lovely people in Expert Shield, (role models in superb customer care) sent me both sizes. To be fair the slightly smaller model is a very good fit and most protectors are not 100% exact in my experience. On this occasion I would say go with the 'exact fit' model if you can get it, (you will need to mail the Expert Shield team first -check their website). I had no trouble applying this and it is, well...perfect. So hats off to Expert Shield for both a brilliant protector and superb service. Buy with confidence. With their lifetime guarantee you won't be disappointed

Initially I encountered a few problems getting the corners of the film to stick down correctly.Assuming I was doing something wrong, I contacted Expert Shield who immediately and very helpfully agreed this should not happen.They replaced the product by express post, followed up with helpful emails asking if the problem was resolved.The replacement screen protector stuck down perfectly and has remained in place for many months of continued use in all weather conditions.Exceptionally helpful service from a company which clearly provides both a quality product and excellent after-sales service.Customers can buy with confidence, knowing that the manufacturers will provide a friendly and helpful service to ensure we're happy with the product. May add that, after many years of writing reviews for products, have seldom encountered such a customer-friendly manufacturer. Thankyou Expert Shield and hopefully others can learn from your example.

I ordered this at the same time as my Fujifilm X30 camera and fitted it immediately while the LCD screen was still pristine. The lifetime guarantee certainly filled me with confidence. Fitting it was straight forward and bubble free. I would have given it 5 stars if it was exactly the correct size. Rather than try and centre it, I fitted it flush to the right leaving no gap. This leaves about 2 mm gap on the left. However, that doesn't really matter since there is a thin black border on the LCD screen which is slightly thicker on the left. That means there's no risk of a line on the actual viewing area. It's surprising the size is a fraction too small but a minor issue for me and it still seems to be a quality product worth having. I certainly didn't want to risk getting any minor scuffs or scratches over time.

Have used Expert Shield on both my Nikon DSLR's and found it to be a good protector. The shield fitted perfectly on my Fuji X-30. The instructions on the package are clear but rather small for my eyes - in any case I advise anyone who hasn't fitted these before to go to their website (http://www.expertshielduk.com/installation/) which is also stated on the 'Read me first' leaflet inside the package. The video and instructions are very clear and useful.

I own several cameras, and the first thing I do when getting a new one is to buy a screen protector. This is, quite simply, the best one that I've ever come across. It went on quickly and easily, and without so much as a bubble, unlike the one which it replaced (bought from eBay at a similar price to this, and thrown away after the sellers proved to be less than helpful.) I can't recommend this highly enough.
