If you are looking at this you need it.
A tool like this is the ONLY way to get the shift cable end off. There are several tools out there. This one works perfectly, was a great price, and well made.

Did the job
It did the job. At one point i did need to stack 2-3 nuts inside to reduce the interior depth in order to be able to actually push the cable in while installing.

Would not remove original shifter cable
This tool has a sloppy fit and just rounded off the shifter cable nut when trying to remove the old cable. I ended up drilling the old one out. It did ok when installing the new one because it takes less effort to install one with clean threads
