It worked!
The price was great, the part worked as it should without any resetting the entire system. Plug-n-play. Yay!! I now have controllable temp in my vehicle.

This is just like the OEM but way more affordable
The part is perfect. The lousy GM design makes it tough to get the old one out. You need a 7MM deep socket to get the guard off. You then need a 1/4" drive, 7/32" socket to get it off. Because of the lousy design one of the three screws (driver's side) of the guard and the left side screw of the door unit is tough to get to.This piece is a "plug and play" part. While you are there might as well change the 2 cabin air filters.

This blend door works well and makes less noise than my functional original one
This works pretty well. I've had mine installed for a week with no issues so far. After installation I did a reset procedure that included removing the fuse and turning on the engine(you can research it to make sure you get the right one for your vehicle.) The one I received works correctly and makes no noise where the still working passenger one makes some noise. I'm not sure if this is related to the updated design or if my original one is just showing some wear. Either way this blend door works well. I would change my review if I have any issues with this product so if there are no updates it's most likely still working.

Worst Brand I Every Installed
I never really leave product reviews and have changed these for myself and many other people. First one lasted about 1 week and got a replacement for it and it was locked up when it arrived. I know see it has a lot of reviews that say they are great, so not sure if I just got some bad ones that came in.I see a lot of people put these in and you can save a lot of money doing these yourself for sure and the beginning signs of these failing is the clicking noise underneath the dash. Not sure if people know how to reset there system once installed or what to do when they swap them out, so I will explain it all for a dual climate control, which is the one with the temperature display in the middle and the knobs on both sides. Manual slide levers are a little different but similar. Here's how... Once you get it installed just turn the key to "on" position and make sure you see "auto" in the display, and make sure you do not touch anything else and leave it be. Then you need to go under the hood to your fuse panel and remove the fuse which is 10 Amp "HVAC/ECAS" for at least one minute (time it). Whatever the temperature was set at originally will automatically default back to 74 degrees on the display, so you know you did it long enough. Then you need to start the vehicle and let it run, which in my case is a 2005 Tahoe for about 2 minutes which will re-calibrate the entire system and make sure you DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THE HVAC HEAT CONTROLS KNOBS OR BUTTONS... Very Important....This will allow ALL the blend door actuators to re-calibrate. Once you shut down vehicle after running it for about 2 minutes you need to start it back up and let it run for 15 seconds (time it) and then shut it down. Do not let it run for more than 30 seconds. Very Important. Then you are all set and you have just re-calibrated your entire system. If you need to reset a blend door actuator hub that has gone out of the operating range. You will see on the blend door actuator a center line and a smaller line on each side. If the blend door actuator mark on the center hub is out of range of those two marks (past them) here is how to try to reset it if it is still good to put it back in range... You need a 9 volt battery and put a wire on each side of it. Take the battery positive and place it to terminal number 5 on the blend door actuator which is all the way on the right side. Then put the battery power negative to terminal number 7 to complete the circuit and look for actuator movement. If their is no actuator movement that would mean the actuator is up against an internal stop in the actuator cage. Then remove the negative wire off terminal number 7 and place it up against both terminals 6 & 7, then look for actuator movement in the opposite direction. Then just hold it up those terminals until the blend actuator center slot is between the outer two alignment marks. Then if it moves then it would be all set to install in the vehicle. If it does not move it means it is locked up and bad, like the one I just got. Plus, if you hear a clicking noise it means the gears inside are grinding and replace it. This may all seem complicated, but this is how it is all done to re-calibrate and re-set a blend door actuator. Just take your time and time things with a stop watch due to you may count to fast or to slow....
