My cat loves these!!!
We have 3 cats in our household and not every cat likes these, I must admit. One of them could care less for catnip, so he'll only play with this when he sees the other cats going crazy over it. Our two other cats, however, go completely bonkers over this toy!!! Especially my one cat that never cares about toys or playing. You give him this ball, and he'll just play with it for a long while. He'll attack it, than grab it with two of his paws and lick it, while holding it, than he'd start biting it and going crazy (from all the catnip). He's almost 5 years old, but when he gets a hold of this toy, he becomes a little kitten again!!We used to buy this product at PetSmart, but they stopped carrying it in stores for some reason, so I came here to buy a few of them to stock up. If your cat loves catnip, chances are he'll love this toy. It also lasts for a while, I'd say months. Because the catnip is so packed, it takes them a while to "chew" through it. I imagine it's probably good for their teeth too, since it's so hard. :)

My male cat goes *crazy* for this!
I have two one year old cats and one of them particularly loves catnip, and so *loves* this product. They both like to chase it around the house, try and chew it and roll all over it. I only have a few problems with this toy: I think its too small. One of my cats likes to take the entire thing and chew on it. It nearly fits all the way into her mouth, so it may be a choking hazard. I always supervise. The ball also gets sticky from all the chewing and so as it rolls around, it accumulates dustbunnies. It is very *loud* as it rolls around my hardwood and tile floors. I try to keep play limited to the rug area. Otherwise, a very fun toy for catnip-loving kitties!

Waste of money.
It had great reviews and I thought I would get a couple for my four cats. They were totally unimpressed with it. No interest at all. And they love catnip - so I don't think this is a very good catnip product. Plus, it crumbled and made a huge mess on the floor when it was rolled by us attempting to get the cats interested. A waste of money in my opinion. I picked up what was left of the first one, vacuumed the mess and threw it and the second unopened one in the trash.

Best catnip toy
I’ve bought these occasionally for several years and they’re always a hit in my house. All four of my cats love it, although there are a few squabbles about sharing. After a few minutes though the ball has rolled around enough that the scent has spread out and those not actively taking a turn just go and roll in a spot where the ball was. One note on these type of balls. There are some cheaper knock offs, but if you look at the packaging you will notice little crumbles showing that they are already breaking apart. In my experience Pawbreakers are worth a bit more because whatever their formula and compression is they hold together longer. Eventually the ball will begin to crumble a bit and get to the point where it’s too broken to keep but with my crew that takes a couple of weeks, longer if they lose it and we take a while to find it again.

Not for cats who chew toys
My cat will chew on certain toys more like a dog does with a tennis ball. He liked this toy (kicked it, chased it, grabbed with his paws, licked it, back kicked it and started chewing on it) but it was so small that I was afraid he would somehow choke or gag on it. He took a chunk out of it with 5 minutes so it went in the trash. He has a bigger catnip ball that he likes and does not chew on but we can’t find it...it’s probably under some piece of furniture in the house. If you have a chewer not sure this is a safe option. My cat does not have pica but is a chewer to an extent with certain toys...for example he will rip off pieces of a cardboard scratcher and spit it out. He also loves chewing on dental pretzel that’s available on Amazon.

It's ok but not a favorite of my cats
I'm on the bubble about this one. Yes, one of my cats will play with it once in a while. He kicks it then chases it and kicks it again...and then it rolls under something (sofa, chairs, everything) and I come across it a few weeks later. It's a dark little ball so it gets lost easily, And I've never seen either of my cats respond with any of the typical catnip effects.

Cats Fight Over It!
My cats LOVE this ball. I'm talking about 2 cats that normally ignore every toy I buy for them. They fight over this ball. They love it. They can't get enough of it.UPDATE: It's been about a year now since I purchased this ball. Both of my cats STILL love this ball. They play with it until it gets lost under furniture somewhere. Then I find it while cleaning and put it back out in the open, and as soon as they come in again and see it, they start playing all over again - until they loose it under furniture. Then the whole thing repeats, over and over and over. Play, loose, find, resume. One cat swats it and chases it up and down the hall. The other cat lies on the floor holding it in his paws and licking it - for 30min or longer. The ball is now about 1/2 its original size. I've bought them a LOT of toys. Most they ignore completely. A few they played with for 5min and quit. This is one of only 2 toys they continue to play with any time they see it. When this one is gone, I will definitely get them another.

Too Small
Way too small for the Price. Cheaper at the local pet store or grocery store for the very same thing.
