Easy to install, bright light.
You just need a little basic electrical skill to install this. Turn off power to the light. Cut off all the wires connected to the ballast and remove it. If you can not physically see what wires go to which tombstones, just use an ohm meter to identify and mark these wires. The two posts on each side of the light bulb are connected electrically. Just remember that you need a hot wire to one tombstone and a neutral to the other. Connect the appropriate wires for each light bulb to the Hot and Neutral wires coming into your light fixture and you will be good. The clamp that supports the outside curved end of the bulb fit perfectly on the new bulbs. I just connected the wires, put the metal cover back over the wires and plugged in the bulbs. Very easy. Just remember when you install the bulbs that light is emitted from only one side of the bulbs, so you will want that side to be down or out or you will have only reflected light.

Simple enough, if you are comfortable rewiring
Replaced a pair of these in our kitchen fixture. The ballast had failed (not the first time) and rather than replace it, I went LED. I had tried this a couple years ago - but they just were not there yet. Now they are. Much brighter. Much quicker to come on. Very happy. The whole process probably took a half-hour, from start to finish, and all I needed was a screwdriver and a pair of wire cutters/strippers. the wiring present in the fixture was more than sufficient to use for the task. I have found that to also be the case with other straight tubes I have replaced. I'm happy with the outcome, the energy savings, and the environmental impact.

Easy install, bright white light--reliable!
Some users were confused by description about whether ballast is retained; it is not. Cut all ballast wires. Each of the two end pins are connected internally so you cannot go wrong there. Put neutral to either pin on one end, and hot to either pin on the other. Will work the same if neutral and hot reversed so it could not be easier.5000K light is cool white, but slightly less white than a different daylight fluorescent nearby.I did have one issue with an APC UPS elsewhere in the house on a completely different circuit. After installing these LED lights it became confused and was tripping it's GFCI (probably trying to turn on and assume the load). The easy solution was to insert a 3 pin grounding adapter on the UPS thus isolating the ground for only that unit. Not ideal but easy fix.Update: One reason I bought this model was to go with a name brand. JimWen very reliable so far!

Over Priced
Installation is easy for a DIYer. Light output significantly brighter/better than conventional U-bulbs it replaced. Unfortunately in my experience some LED bulbs fail within weeks. These bulbs are significantly costlier than conventional LED tubes and bulbs based on lumen output per dollar. If the life expectancy turns out to be anywhere near what is advertised then I came out fine. If they diminish or fail anytime in the next several years I would have been better to have stuck with conventional U-bulbs or have switched over to a straight tube fixture.

Does not work with ballast or without
The light came with no installation instructions. Tried just plugging it in with the ballast in place. It flickered and shone at about half brightness. The online features say "ballast bypass" (not very helpful). So I removed the ballast, rewired it and it blew out. I'll be ordering something else.

Worked great (after figuring out the wiring)
We purchased 4 U-bent LED lights, and they did not come with a wiring diagram. After figuring out that these should be used with the shunted toumbstones already installed in our light fixture,. We wired one side of the U to Hot (Black), and the other side to Neutral (White), applied power and they worked great. Hopefully this helps someone.

Dropped right in (don't forget to remove the ballast)
I bought these because my fluorescent ballasts were old and making an awful buzzing noise whenever they were powered up. Switching out to integrated LED troffers wasn't an option bc of how my drop ceiling was built, so bypassing the ballasts was the way to go for me.These 5000K lights are a nice middle ground, bright and even color, without being as blue and harsh as 6000K lights.
