A great deal for the price-- study solid wood frame and thick, clear glass. Since I was looking for a frame for a relatively non-standard 12x18 photo, I felt very fortunate to find this unique option at such a low price ($35 including shipping). It would have been easily 3X that had I done it custom. The gold and linen look wonderful with my photo-- giving rich texture without detracting. The great thing about the linen border is that it made a separate mat unnecessary. Although for my purposes, I wish the linen border were a little bit thicker (thus creating a bigger frame all-round for my 12x18 photo), that is a personal preference and certainly not a design flaw (and the product description accurately stated the size). All the necessary hardware is included. Lastly, I have never had anything ship so fast-- it was literally at my doorstep the next day! (well packed, I might add). Not sure that fast of a turnaround is typical, but it certainly was a nice surprise seeing as I was buying it as a part of a last minute gift! For my future framing needs, I will most definitely come back to MyFrameStore first! Thanks!

Very classy frame, looks beautiful without a mat. Stands up very well.Anyone trying to mat an 8x10 picture will run into a strange issue: almost all ready- made matted frames for this size of image are 11x14. But an 8x10 with 1.5 inches of mat should go into an 11x13 frame (you can find these, but selection is limited). The result of this strange step in standard frame sizes is that most matted frames for 8x10s have 2" of mat on the long sides and 1.5" of mat on the short sides. This almost looks ok (but not quite) for horizontally oriented images (ie landscape), but looks terrible for vertically oriented compositions (ie portrait).An easy and elegant solution is to get a frame like this one with an insert. The border is the same width all the way around the image, and it has the visual solidity of a double mat.

I'm taking a Grumbacher painting class at a popular craft store & they require us to use a flat, thin 9x12 canvas board, which is meant to be framed. Otherwise, you cannot hang your painting. 9x12 is an odd size....but the craft store can professionally frame it for you...$$$. These frames are perfect for my paintings!!! I was able to easily remove the glass & wood backing & place my canvas right in there & close it back up with the metal tabs right onto my canvas board. I love the canvas mat, it makes my painting appear larger & really gives it that professional look. I like that the hanger parts are already attached to the frame & all I had to do was put the included wire on it. They hang nicely this way. It looks like I had my paintings beautifully, custom framed, but I did it myself in a matter of minutes and really saved some bucks!

I bought this picture frame for my dearest mother for Christmas. I took my mother to observatory in New York City and we took a picture together which I thought was beautiful. I decided to frame the picture and give it to my mother as a Christmas gift but I need the exact frame to make the picture look wonderful. This picture frame is the ideal frame, it was magnificent; the feel of the frame is smooth, it looks elegant and the picture with my mom and I, looks extremely magnificent... My mom loves it and the rest of my family's kept asking, where did I get the frame?I highly recommend that you get this frame, you won't be disappointed...It is exactly the size it says.

It is well made and superior to any other gold frame I looked at! I framed a picture of Mary the Mother of God, and the frame is so regal and it complements the picture of Mary with her crown and gold-trimmed robe beautifully. It arrived perfectly with great bubble wrapping. The only disappointment was that I wanted another frame in the 11 x 14 size, but is no longer available.

This is a gorgeous frame for the money. I bought it to frame a custom drawing of a family member and just loved the quality and richness of the results. I recently bought another because it was so nice. Great price, great product.

The frame itself is pretty. But it did not come with "liner" (I would call it a mat) as pictured. I kept it because I needed a frame for an unusually sized 8X12 photo. The frame is 12X16. I was in a hurry to get my photo hung, so I went to Hobby Lobby and purchased a mat for it. But that added another $14 to my total expenditure. I have notified Amazon of incorrect product description/photos.
