Gift for a friend
The books were all in very good condition and arrived together within the given time-frame. I have read the first of the books and, found the content of the book both informative, with interesting details of historiscal events. Due to illness my friend has not yet been able to read the books, but is looking forward to doing this, as they all appear to be of great historical interest.

Great series, confusing set of books
The book series is great! One of the best historical fictions I've read in a while. The delivery and condition where perfect, however they are smaller than other books in the series I had previously purchased (in physical size rather than page length - see attached photo, book bought from separately from Amazon for scale). Also the series collection isn't 1-9, rather 1-11 missing out books: 5 and 6. On inspection of the photos that is what was advertised and I miss understood, buy still odd!

Superb series of books
Superb series of books. Good size print. Not too big or too small.

Oustanding
This series follows both Wellington and Bonapart from birth and givens an excellent feel of the times they lived in. I have read lots of historical novels, with Conn Iggulden being one of the best in my view, Simon Scarrow is up there with the very best. I have just ordered the first five empire series books and am looking forward to a great read.

A must-read
As I couldn't put the books down once I started reading I think this speaks for itself!!!! Very well written and very informative historically, Simon Scarrow is an excellent author. A fantastic opportunity to see how two lives from different countries and backgrounds run parallel.

Incomplete set - why?!
This 9 pack is not books 1 to 9! It misses out books five and six?!Very odd and very frustrating when engrossed in the story.
