Brain-Pad Pro+ Plus Mouthguard

I guess the first thing you should not do is treat this like a snore-guard you might end up ruining it, just carefully read the directions...one thing I can say since using these contraptions be it the brain-pad or the snore-guard...I have become depended on these little plastic objects, I worry that if I don't wear it , my sleep apnea can and will get the better of me , I have noticed when not using these devices I notice myself snoring I can hear it ,as well as feel the vibrations in my throat and I abruptly wake up, I prefer this than the alterative surgery .. But enough about me, there's a big difference in comfort level. with the snore-guard you have you're lower jar pushed forward leaving your jaw acing, with the brain pad not so much , and you have a wider breathing hole ,two for the matter ,I will give it a go , and write a further review in the future..It's been a month since I wrote about the brain pad, and I wanted to come and write about my experience using the product ,and what I have to say first is that my lower jaw does not hurt much as it did with the snore guard ,the big difference with the snore guard and the brain pad is the air opening snore guard has a little opening the brain pad two large holes one on each side , it's more comfortable then the snore guard that's for sure, and on occasion when I don't wear because i'm feeling lazy I wake up my ole lady ,like I said not the most comfortable feeling ,but that rarely happens and she is very impressed with the brain pad, if I do snore it's very tiny like a forest critter or heavy breathing ,she's happy I'm happy because I don't get the push or the " your snoring" in the middle of the night.. 98% effected for me....very happy with it, as she is...sheesh...now to get back to sleep...

I use mouth pieces for BJJ and mauy thai****So I owned and Everlast double mouth piece and was looking for something more comfortable (sore jaw after use of old mouth piece)after reading all the great reviews for the brain pad I decided to buy it even though its a little pricy for a mouth piece. When it first arrived I was very optimistic and immediately went through the instructions step by step heeding every detail. The first time I molded it, the sides started collapsing inwards even though I put it in the water for like 2 or 3 seconds less then recommended, and YES I followed the instructions for the right model. After playing with it and trying to fix it for 40 minutes I thought I had finally got the perfect mold.So I tried it out the next day while sparing in JJ and It just wouldn't stay in place. Not in the sense that it would fall off, but rather in that it would slightly shift to left as I bit down. It was annoying because i would have to re position it every couple of minutes and if I breathed in too hard or tried to close my mouth I would have an immediate gag reflex which was incredibly uncomfortable.This mouth piece is HUGE and you will have a very hard time trying to close your mouth with it on. Also be cautious because saliva easily drips from the breathing holes if you face downwards and it is really embarrassing.Over all I give it 2 stars because it failed to meet most of my expectations but the one plus i did notice was that it completely covers both bottom and upper teeth and shipping was good.I would recommended by my experience that you avoid this mouth piece as your first mouth guard but maybe a person more experienced with perfectly molding mouth guards would benefit from it.For now I'm sticking with my everlast mouth piece and it isn't so uncomfortable now that I had a bad experience with the brain pad. Also 5 stars for amazon for taking it back and refunding it.

Let me just say that I am not using this product as intended. Over the past year I have started to snore and it has been getting worse. I wanted to check out any remedy available over the counter before spending thousands on a sleep study just to get stuck with a mask over my face for the rest of my life while I sleep. I attempted the throat sprays, pills, nose strips, special anti-snore pillows, and positioning myself in certain positions while I sleep to try and help... they all did not help.I know that every person is different and there could be many reasons why someone snores but this has helped me tremendously. I do have a massive overbite and when I sleep my bottom jaw relaxes even more and helps narrow my airway causing me to snore. It is really odd sleeping with a mouthguard but it secures my jaw and is comfortable to breath through. The first few nights I did have a rough time trying to sleep with it on, even had a little panic attack once. But now a week in and I have not had the wife hitting me, shaking the bed, her getting out of bed, or her kicking me out of the bed.If you snore and have an overbite I would suggest trying this.

I purchased this mouthguard for sparring in my martial arts class. It gives me more confidence as my jaw feels more locked in place and I feel a solid cushion between my teeth. I've been hit all over my face and jaw area and everything seems to be alright so I supposed it is doing its job pretty well.The mouthguard does take getting used to as it may feel bulky at first even after cutting to size. Although I realized I don't notice it at all while sparring, and that's when it counts most. It doesn't interfere with my breathing, and I don't find myself readjusting it or being uncomfortable.When not sparring, it can be bothersome when I have time to pay attention to it but it is probably expected with dual sided mouthguards. It is hard to talk with it on, and could be messy sometimes with some drool building up.
