Captain Sports Elastic Back Support

I’m a longtime customer of this company. Over the last 12 years, I think this is the fourth one I’ve bought. I like them because they provide some support for my lower back pain without any uncomfortable rigid pieces at all. The downside as others have said, is that after a while the Velcro wears out and the back support needs to be replaced. I’ve done that about every three years and have always been very happy with the item. However, there seems to be something wrong with this most recent purchase. It looks exactly like the others, but when I put it on I can feel tiny elastic threads pinching my skin. There seemed to be no way of removing them or trimming them since they were all over the upper edge of the belt. I’m not sure if I received a defective item this time, or if there’s been some change in the manufacturing process. In any case as much as I love this back support I think I’ll have to look elsewhere for my next replacement.

I ordered this belt for my mother (who is in her 90's) due to a slight lower back strain. The belt is just the size she wanted, but the rough edge of the Velcro fastener facing toward her was just a little too wide (so it would irritate her skin). I trimmed the excess Velcro using a pair of very fine bladed precision scissors, and solved the problem. So I now rate this a very good belt for the money.

I use this at work and it is comfortable. It works and does provide some relief from tired back. But after a while the velcro stops working. Sooner or later you would have to replace it because of that.

Not good for large waists...44 waist is really tight. I would not recommend it for big people, the people who need it the most.

great for lower back

I have back problems and am always looking for a new back suppport. This one is very sleek and light yet provides good support.

This item fits well and stays in place.
