Really a great buy!
This is really a great buy, I'm very happy with my purchase. I bought it for my daughters stay in the hospital and she was thrilled with this radio. VERY happy with this purchase!
I usually listen to the radio in the mornings at work; news, weather, sports, that kinda thing. It's a routine for me and a constant. Get to work, start the computer, start the coffee, turn to the news on my smart phone. Until I got a new job. In a new location. That's in an area where there is zero cell signal and streaming at work is forbidden. I suffered for a couple of weeks before it occurred to me to try a portable radio. Hey, just because cell signals can't reach in here don't mean radio waves won't!So I started hunting for the best radio for the best price with the best reviews and this was it. And boy howdy does it work! Highly reccommend this for those who work in a box in the middle of a large building that has zero windows. It picks up the signals strongly without any static.

Breaks after a couple months
I have bought three of these and after a couple months they break - I bought this for my blind brother who listens to the radio many hours a day - why do I keep buying very few people make these kinds of radio

A true necessity
I purchased this portable AM/FM Radio for power losses. Every home should have a Portable Radio for emergency use and for when power goes out during storms, hurricanes etc. I highly recommend this one. I've already used it a few times and it reception and sound is fantastic. Battery life is standard. I'd recommend turning batteries in opposite directions to prolong life when not needed.
