Brinley Co Women's Bailey-xwc Riding Boot

LOVE THESE. I have 18" to 18.5" calves and never had high boots until I discovered 'extra wide calf' boots were a thing! I did my research digging into reviews and product descriptions, and measured my calves (they're a half inch different sizes N) to make sure that what I ordered would fit, and I'm not disappointed! I read a review for these that stated they were tighter at first and then stretched a bit, which is exactly right. They're lined with fuzzy fabric until the top inch or so, which is the same material as the outside of the boot. At first that part got stuck on my slightly sweaty legs (it was hot!), but I stretched the opening by hand just by pulling with my hands and they slid on very nicely. A bit harder to remove, but that will improve over time, I'm sure. These have a slightly tapered top, which is extremely flattering to my calves, and even though they seem skin tight, I can still easily slide them over leggings. They're very comfortable compared to other inexpensive boots I've had- a nice feet to the foot and heel. I really couldn't be more pleased with them!

Wow. The boots are beyond excellent. I have an athletic build with 18" calves and a size 10 shoe; My whole life has been one nightmare after another in shoe stores struggling with boots that were simply not designed for anyone like me. I figured it would be a long shot to find a boot on Amazon that worked, but it was worth taking a risk at this price point. Some of the previous reviews for this boot were critical of the boot size or the calf size, or the quality of the shoe - I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at the high level of performance of these boots on all of those points.The shoe portion of the boot is stiff but generous enough that I can wear a sports sock and still have reasonable room for my arches. The shaft of the boot is snug with thicker sports leggings on underneath. The material is firm at the foot and comfortable at the upper calf. The stitching and soles are definitely assembled in a solid fashion. As a previous reviewer said, at the top of the shaft the fit flares slightly, and this is very flattering to the thighs. I was SO THRILLED by these boots and the price, that I bought the same size in the two other colors.I see a lot of potential for these boots to make my life significantly better. In terms of fashion, they are stunning. In terms of functionality, I am hoping that there are kids in my near future and I believe these boots will be super easy to make any outfit look polished and professional while on the go. I am also excited about picking up some gorgeous pencil skirts and trying out a new fashion statement in 2017. As far as riding boots go, I would wear these for a beginner's western trail ride but nothing more. They do have a heel that would help keep you in the saddle, but the flare at the top allows too much wiggle in the shaft for any serious riding. They would keep some friction between you and the saddle but would slip too much at the leg for controlling the horse.All around, I couldn't be happier and I hope this manufacturer keeps making this product for the rest of my life. I am so happy I found these! I'm 5ft7 250 with a hefty 20 inch calf. I had no problems sliding these on and zipping them up. I was prepared to be disappointed. Boots are not a a big calf girls friend. I am 100% happy with the boot, the material, the style, the color n most of all the fit. I ordered 9m with extra wide calf.

Loved these boots. It's rare I can wear boots bc I have wide calves. I'm 5'3, wear a 7 1/2 and these came up to just below my knee. They are comfortable and I've gotten a lot of compliments. I normally buy my boots from torrid, but these were about $30-$40 cheaper! Now if it would just cool down in Florida!!

I have been searching for riding boots that would fit my calfs for a long time. I found these and thought well lets go ahead and try it out. I am so glad I did ! These fit perfectly and are very comfortable I now need a pair in back. The shipping was fast. That being said the box was not in the greatest condition but the boots were just fine.

Holy crap they fit! I have 18.5 inch calves. I ride horses and swim so my calves have always been huge. Nothing ever fits properly over them. These do! And they fit comfortably without being too tight over legging and jeans! I am thrilled! This is a great price too and delivery was faster than expected. They are true to size so don't order bigger or smaller than what you actually are and I have wide feet but this still fit without being uncomfortable. I highly recommend!

I bought this boot in black for my son's wedding 3 years ago because I thought I would only wear them once or twice since I am usually not a "boot" girl. I read the reviews and the price was within what i was willing to pay for something only to wear a few times. I wore these boots from 9 am till after midnight. Yes by the end of the evening my feet hurt but not so bad that i wanted to remove my boots. I wear them at least once a week now in the winter as they help keep my feet and legs warm. I ordered extra large width in the shaft as my calves are 20+ inches wide. They fit well, might be on the large side but I would prefer too large then tight. I love the look of these, in fact I am thinking of getting other colors of this same boot. I love the lower heel as i work with 18 month to 3 year olds and I don't have to worry about stepping on their little fingers. The boots are very easy for me to get on the floor with the kids and play with them. I have worn the boots in the rain and snow and the heel is just fine.

Ahhhh...these boots!!! Shopping for WC and XWC boots can be so frustrating. After looking in several stores and buying/returning several pair from online, I FINALLY found these. The fit through the calf is great. Don’t worry if they feel snug at first; the leather softens after a few wears. I bought a half shoe size larger than I normally wear to accommodate for thick winter socks, and the boots fit perfectly with that accommodation. I bought the dark brown color and will be ordering the same pair in black.

Decent wide calf autumn boot. One complaint is that it has a furry lining that makes it hot to wear inside or outside if the weather isn't chilly enough but it doesn't have anything close to winter tread, so likely can only be an autumn boot (Canadian winter is too snowy/ slippery....). Im 5'4" and have wide calves (17" around) and these boots fit my calves with pants and socks on underneath. I would recommend these to anyone wanting a colder weather but not blistering winter boot.

I was so happy to get a pair of boots that would fit my calfs but only after 1 wear the stitching on the side started to come undone. I found them really comfortable and look cute but don't think they will last very long. Was going to buy another pair from this company but now Im going to look around some more

These boots were purchased in the fall. I loved how the wide width fit my calves comfortably. Being a teacher I’m on my feet quite often throughout the day. However the quality of the soles are quite disappointing. As you can see in the pictures the soles are completely destroyed, and that’s only after six months of wear. If it weren’t for this problem I probably would have bought another pair, but knowing that after just a few months this might happen, I will no longer be wearing this product, nor do I recommend it.

these boots are beautiful , the only problem was the calf was suppose to be wide, they were like a regular calf. Had to return them but they were really nice looking boot.

Beautiful boot, recieved with hole in back of the boot. So this boot is no good to me. Fits well, but did not get to wear them out as they has a RIP in them.

A little "baggy" in the ankle...which is a little weird, bit the rest fits great.

Pleased with my purchase

I’ve only worn these boots off to three times a week to the office. They are falling apart at the heel/sole badly. They had been so nice, but I was very surprised how quickly they deteriorated seeing that they were $100.

I gave this product 2 stars because the delivery was super fast. Other than that, not worth the price tag. Fabric is cheap. The boot fit a little on the big size and the extended calf was really big!
