This is a ZigBee 3.0 light dimmer and works with Philips Hue, and just shows in the app as a new light. This controller is identical to some others on here but at the time of writing is cheaper.This controller is a dimmer using the leading edge principal to dim. Note that it will not dim LED lights, unless those LED lights are sold specifically supporting leading edge dimmers, and most are not, and the ones that are will be more expensive and may not work too well anyway. Do not buy if you are wanting to dim any sort of LED light, it will work with standard incandescent bulbs to dim them.However, even with incandescent bulbs, this it isn't a good dimmer as it lacks noise suppression chokes and capacitors, this can cause two problems, one is a buzzing of the light itself, and secondly it can also cause interference back down the mains wiring which could affect other equipment.Consider this an on/off switch only and make sure the slider/setting in the Hue or other app has it on maximum (so full on) and that it isn't used for dimming. For this reason I've given it 4 stars.

Works well with Philips Hue. When using LED bulbs it is a bit jumpy on the dimming but total wattage is quite low in my usage. It worked smoothly with non LED bulbs.
