Installation of this filter was easy, I added a sealant and it twisted into place in seconds. This has been working successfully for 2 weeks now, and I don't foresee any problems. One thing I will note to save everyone a bit of a headache: on the very bottom of the filter is a small silver piece that needs to be tightened before use. If it is not, well, then your fuel is going to spill out and you'll have to clean that up. So, do remember to check that before you begin!!!

Great Value
Great value just make sure if you want a 3/4" or 1"' size as they sell both. The plastic it well made but can get brittle with time but anything can when exposed to the sun every day. Filters are easy to replace and work great with a variety of optional replacements.

Great filter for peace of mind and equipment protection
I bought both the 496 and 495 filters to filter off road diesel for my new tractor. I hope to never "need" them, but if either of them ever capture something that could damage my tractor, they have immediately paid for themselves more than once. They were easy to install and are well worth the peace of mind for the small price paid. A few people told me I didn't need both, but the 496 water filter filters out water and particles down to 17 micron. The 495 filter captures down to 10 microns. By having both, I capture both water and the smallest particle sizes without having to trade one for the other, and, it should help the 495 filter last longer since larger particles should already be caught upstream.

Perfect !!
After reading the mixed reviews here I was super hesitant and prepared for a quick return if it did not work well. This filter works perfectly and has none of the issues (leaking, too tight, not tight enough etc etc). Combine the excellent performance with the clear bowl (to see what the filter is picking up) this thing is also a great value.Ignore the negative reviews and buy it....and buy an extra filter or two :)

Positive Pressure Only
Positive pressure only, doesn’t work in vacuum/suction conditions.

Good filter
Used on a mobile transfer tank between the pump and the hose. Works great. Takes a little planning to decide mounting position but with the help of a couple pipe nipples and an elbow I was able to mount it out of the way over top the tank where it would be protected.
