Husqvarna 585729102 223L Toy Trimmer (2-(Pack))

This toy is great. My 2&½ year old loves it and plays with it constantly. My 4 year old can't wait for him to put it down so he can snatch it up. It's very realistic makes noise when trigger is pressed; rotates and lights up at the bottom where the cutter would be. For those who think it's too short, are you aware that it can extend about 5 inches when you loosen the plastic wingnut on the handle? That makes it long enough for my 4 year old to play with it without bending over too much. Only complaint is that it wasn't able to be ordered on Prime. Though still received it in a couple days and it's worth the price

 We got this for my son who is obsessed with power tools and lawn mower. He loved it, it was awesome with it's lights and sounds, but not even a month later it stopped working properly and now makes a loud grinding noise.

We bought this for our 3 year old grandson and he absolutely loves it. The trimmer is so cute and it is very sturdy. He knows exactly what to do with it and he even uses the leaf blower after he uses the toy trimmer just like his Daddy does.I highly recommend this toy!!!!

I gave this toy as a gift to my nephew who is Mr. tool guy.....his favorite trip is to Home Depot, Lowes, etc. He just can't get enough of the tools.In any case the gift was a huge hit at his birthday party and he has been busy trimming "fictitious:" weeds for 3 days straight. Sadly the batteries started to struggle after the 3rd day. In an attempt to keep the fun alive my brother-in-law tried to replace the batteries in the process and the boss holding the fastener (screw) closing the battery door broke when he attempted to put in new batteries. Without that screw/cover the batteries tend to fall out.I am trying to figure out how to complete a warranty claim but struggling to do so....if anyone has a great idea on how to make that happen I'd appreciate a suggestion. There is an 800 number that I will try in the coming days....I would have given this 5 stars however given the product failure and my struggle to resolve it I picked 4 stars.Great toy! I'd buy it again!

This toy seems to be well made and truly looks like a trimmer. I just don't think the size (primarily length) is quite correct even though it expands a few inches from what is packaged. It is really too small for 3-5 year olds to play with. And it's too advanced for younger children. I would rather have purchased the toy Husqvarna toy blower, but it got such terrible reviews I did not think that was wise.

We bought two of these for Christmas last year and my boys, 3 and 4 loved this toy! The light up spinning blade, sound effects, and realistic parts on the motor are all great. The only reason I won't rate this 5 stars is because within a couple of months, the blade motor stopped working on both of them. It still lights up and makes sound but the blade doesn't turn anymore. I don't think it was a manufacturing problem. I think my boys tried to do exactly what Daddy was doing with the real thing and the toy is not meant for that kind of use. I will also agree with another review that the toy does not extend down very far. This might be done on purpose because the motor can't handle the blades actually hitting things. I wish they would have enclosed the spinning blades in plastic.

Trying a different brand weed whacker toy because this particular one is likely defective. We have changed the batteries numerous times, but it still barely works. Lights and sounds don’t work (they only worked for about five minutes and were spotty). Perhaps the wiring within is faulty. I’m keeping it only because I think my kids will play along when we do the lawn in spring. They make their own buzzing noises. And having two lawn toys prevents arguments. But, I wouldn’t pick the Husquavarna again.

While the sound is realistic and the blades spin/light up, the trigger malfunctioned while my 3 year old was using it during the first 10 minutes it was out of the box. Something inside the shaft is defective. My son took his hand off the trigger and the sound and blade spinning would not stop until I manually took the batteries out. When putting the batteries back in, it immediately acts as if the trigger is pulled. The unit itself is also way too short, even with the shaft length fully extended. This is the 2nd toy weed eater purchased in as many months off Amazon and have been disappointed both times. Will be returning for a full refund.
