After using phone vent clips which blocked the air from the vent, I thought this was a great way to get the phone out of the way yet still attach it to the vent.It has turned out to be a great purchase and does a great job of keeping the phone up and where I can see it. The magnet does a great job of keeping the phone up although it is more stable in landscape mode.The only problem with this product is it dosent particularly work in cars with a single horizontal vent like the 2019 toyota corolla. My solution to the problem was to take some rubber and super glue it to the bottom of the clip. The rubber provides support by filling the gap between the clip and the bottom of the vent.

Keeps my phone right in front of my eyes when driving. Great for following directions on the phone face or for taking calls. I previously had a clumsy large rubber unit on my dashboard. It was simply difficult to use. It moved when I would break or speed up. This unit that attaches to the air vent is perfect. It is closer to me. It provides space behind so the air vent can still operate properly. I cannot say enough about this product.

Though I am temped to give 1 star, I know for some people this may work okay. I found it pulled out of the vent sometime and did not hold the phone up, it kind of hung over, instead. This isn't good enough for me - necessary for work. I purchased a competitor's on AMZN and it does the job. Because others have different needs and I'll not take it below 3 stars.

Purchased four different magnetic mounts before. They were either too weak (the clip for air vent) or too uncomfortable (block by the windshield wiper switch). This mount is a finally perfect fit. Although this item is originally designed for horizontal vent, it fits well and stable for vertical vent too. I have used it for a couples of month already and so far, it works well and has never drop my phone (Samsung V7 with a protection case with built-in Magnet). Happy.

The big difference this magnetic holder has is it attaches using a twist mount to securely attach it to an air vent. The air pass-through feature is somewhat bogus as most phones or small tablets will cover the holes depending on whether you use your phone/tablet vertically or horizontal. Plan on not getting all the air pass-through stated for this product. However, for me, this is not a problem.I bought this item because it securely attaches to an air vent and the magnetic power of the holder for your phone/tablet doesn't pull it from the vent when you go to dismount your phone or small tablet. Unlike "friction mounted" holders that pull out of the air vent when you try to pull your phone or tablet off, this product stays put - and so far I've used it daily with both an iPhone and iPad Mini without a single problem. Just don't plan on getting the same air flow through your vent as if nothing were mounted there. i'd buy this item again.

This little thing is a game-changer! Fits easily onto my vent, a couple twists to tighten & it is secure. The magnet is very strong. I was concerned that my phone might flop around, but it stays securely in place. Also the magnet strip for the phone is included, which I did not realize, so I'm returning the one I bought separately. The magnet strip is very thin, so it fits under your phone case as well!Overall, I'm very pleased!! I only just installed it, but I can already tell it is perfect for my needs.

I was excited to try this out in my car, as I commute and needed something a little more versatile for my phone. It's pretty easy to install, but loosens over a bit a driving and will suddenly fall to the floor, with the phone. Not ideal while driving. I still use it, but now make note to tighten it before every drive. The magnet is strong and yet the ball loose enough to turn sideways with little effort.

This stays put in my car's vent, even through jostling like bumps, corners, and stops. This also locks in place so my phone is held off the vent/dash, so now I can actually have the phone plugged in to charge as I drive with it on the mount! Only small drawback is that my vent isn't positionable while this mount is in, I have to position it first.
