Had a good laugh reading some of the negative reviews !
Have used this skin for all my snares for the last 5+ years and it does a great job.Have to laugh at some of the negative reviews as it appears that some people were using this for the batter head of the snare and not the snare side - of course it will only last a couple of minutes if you use it as a batter side skin LOL!

Amazing
You can't go wrong with Evans. Every drum of mine has Evans heads on them as they sound so great. This Snare Side one is designed to go on the bottom on the snare with snare wires resting against it. Because of this it is thinner so it won't last long as a batter head.

It's really hard to go wrong with a clear snare-side head from a company like Evans. It does the job it's supposed to - nothing more, nothing less.

Nice open sound
Bought this to replace my aquarian hi-performance snare side head (the one with the two white strips which protect from tearing). As good an idea as that is it also dampens the head somewhat, I personally prefer this hazy 300 as it gives a more open sound and seems to increase the sensitivity slighty. Amazons service was first class and the box they arrived in was huge!

Perfect - but don't buy it for the top (batter) head!!
My favourite make of skins. Best to match snare head to batter head make.Many reviews don't seem to realise the difference! This skin is not for hitting with sticks!! It's for the snare to rattle on & very easily torn if not looked after / hit with stick.

PARCHE PARA UNA DJEMBE - WOW!!
Tengo un djembe africano, y el parche viejo era casi igual, plastico transparente y suena como los tambores Egipcio, puro dumbek. Pero este parche Evans salio mejor de lo que antes. Este parche es muy flexible y fuerte, puedes estirarla mucho, aun es delgado. Requerde que los djembes africanos se estira hasta el maximo, y yo lo hico con el Evans tambien. Sus tonos son excellente. Los altos (la orilla) son muy abierto, agudo y corto. Puedes tocar delicado o fuerte, todo translada con mucho detalla y presencia. Los bajos (en el centro) levanta las laminas de la casa, son puro subwoofer. Es por su elasticidad!Ahorita si creo en la tecnologia EVANS!!
