Cusfull Mens Classic Scottish Jacobite Ghillie Kilt Shirt

This is a very comfortable shirt and I have taken to wearing it regularly, as normal daily attire, in conjunction with one of my leather waistcoats.It has the feel of a canvas type material yet is very pliable and soft to the touch. After half a dozen washes it has kept its colour well. I always tumble dry my shirts as a batch on their own with no other items. I stop the machine early to place them on hangers while they are still hot, and this usually results in a need for minimal ironing .... and hopefully none at all. This worked so well with this black shirt that I bought the cream version too. The cream was more like white. It seemed to behave differently, and definitely required a lot of ironing.They each came with two string thong neck ties.. One was a soft man made material, and the other was real leather. I preferred the leather but the quality was not consistent between the two. One was tough enough that it could have been a boot lace, but the other was very poor and snapped easily as I closed the collar. The shirts are well constructed with sturdy seams and the stitch work looks good and had no loose threads. The eyelets are well fixed but I am tempted to stitch or glue down their backing flap. The photos are of an untouched shirt that was hung up straight from the drier. As I always turn my cuffs up and tuck the shirt in to my trousers, it is more than good enough for my needs.

This black ghillie shirt was billed as 80% cotton 20% polyester. When it arrived, the cloth felt quite thick and sturdy - when I checked the laundry label it said '100% cotton'. I was delighted because my preference is always for pure cotton. The XXL cut is generous , so I conclude that the shirt is very good value indeed.

The main reason I chose this ghillie is it is the correct length. Other ghillies I have seen are too short and would expose a bit much when you are folding the pleats into your great kilt in the morning. The shirt is well made. I found the leather thongs for fastening the neck opening a bit stiff, so I have replaced then. I bought a size larger than I would normally require to give that 18th century drop shoulder look.

Shirt is good and more or less what I expected. Came with two laces. The first lace broke immediately, but the second is solid. After a posted my initial review the seller got in touch to offer replacement laces and a partial refund, which was very nice of them.

I am happy with the fit apart from the cuff. No way can I do the button up and I have small wrists. Not to worry cuff extenders have sorted that problem out, Material is quite thick.

Still not used to the laces but it looks amazing - very swashbuckling. I'm 100% positive the ladies will love it :)Seriously, nice shirt, decent price, very comfortable.

No laces supplied with the shirt so not as described or as pictured. I don’t want to return the shirt, but do want the full product to be supplied. I note that this has happened to others as well.

Bought this as part of my partners Christmas presents. Delivery was quick and very happy with quality of shirt. You get two laces with the shirt as well. Will look really smart with his kilt.
