Series 9000 Shaving Replacement Shaver Head for Philips Norelco Electric Shaver 9700 S9721/84 S9311/87 9300 S9000

My issue was that my shaver fell and broke one of the silver plastic tilting disks that hold the steel parts (blades and screen). The clips on the plastic disk and the pin in the front bezel broke and couldn't be reattached.The initial idea was to find out if the plastic parts of the aftermarket head could be compatible with the original OEM head.After an initial inspection, I decided not to use the screen and blades of the aftermarket head (look at the pictures) the aftermarket blades are a joke, and they do not have the lift and cut design off the original blades from Norelco.However, I was able to install the original OEM blades and screens in the front aftermarket bezel, also, I found that the aftermarket drive head unit has weak springs, and the blades were jumping and making noise. I ended using the front plastic bezel, with my old blades and screen together with the old drive head.It works perfectly. I didn’t want to spend $65 on a new Norelco head for a shaver that has over 3 years, and that I use while showering. Sooner or later, the battery will give up, or the humidity will corrode the internal components as it has happened in other Norelco shaver that I had through the years.I prefer to save the difference of $45 to use towards buying a new Norelco shaver when the time comes.I think that under the circumstances that I explained, this head is a good deal as a spare plastic part for the original OEM head, as for using the blades and screen that comes with this head that will be a waste of time, they do not come close to the original Norelco heads.Conclusion: the parts that form this assembly head: Drive head, top bezel with rings, orange retaining rings, and the set of blades with screen and interchangeable with the original Norelco head. (do no mix blades and screen sets).Note the plastic orange retainer clips on the new head are hard to remove compared to Norelco’s. Oil them a bit hold the silver ring while turning to remove it. Otherwise, you make break the clips.The five stars are because the plastic parts are compatible with the Norelco head, however I wouldn’t give a single star for the blades that comes with it.

In my experience, Philips Norelco products have been declining in quality during the past several years. And this Series 9000 Shaving Replacement Shaver Head is the worst yet: Poor shave; significant irritation; noisy. As well, the seller only offered a 60% refund. Less than worthless.

Works ok. Seems to bog down a little. Better than $55 for a new Phillips part replacement.Uncertain how long it will last so did not answer the longevity question above. I have had it for 6 months now.

Practical to use & easy to clean

The razor is like new with a replacement head. Price is reasonable considering the razor operates like new.

Plastic base--- poor construction-disappointed! Electric shaver blade head that quickly has become a real bad value!

I had gotten into the habit of replacing the head on my 9733 shaver every six months, and I thought I had found a less costly replacement. However, when I used on of these the first time I noticed that it appeared to loose in all respects. The blades leveling mechanisms did not move around as smoothly as the original and it was difficult or impossible to get a decent shave. It felt like some hairs were being pulled out an not cut. No hairs were cut close to the skin even at the high speed setting. Under inspection I noticed that these blades looked different than the originals and suspected that was part of the problem. So I purchased an original (Phillips) head. Comparing the two side by side it was easy to see the difference in tolerancing and fit. The Philips head and blades were fit with high precision and there was literally no rattling under operation. I immediately shaved with the Philips head and the difference was astounding. My skin felt immediate relief. The shave was so smooth and consistent. Valuable lesson, if you buy a quality device, use original manufacturers replacement parts to maintain that quality.

The shaver heads appeared very plastic and did not cut as well as me 13 month old blades the first time I used them, then they stopped working on the second time.

Poor quality imitation, pinches / tugs on facial hair even when used everyday.Spend the extra money to get authentic Phillips Series 9000 replacement shaver head.
