You can vary the amount of "spring" in the hinge. I put this hinge on our hall powder room door because my wife left it open into the hallway all the time. Our 13 lb dog is a mama's girl and always follows my wife into the powder room. When she gets bored sitting there she can easily nose her way out when the door isn't latched (the dog, that is, not my wife).

Hello, how would I be able to oil or grease this hinge if it were to start squeaking?

Use graphite powder or graphite spray, not 3in1, wd, silicone, etc. WD 40 and other all purpose Oils/lubes tend to attract dust and dirt to the hinge, creating a gummy substance over time and causing squeaks to come back and hinges to drag. Graphite can get messy but if you take your time it will perform far longer than oil or other lubes will on locks, hinges, pulleys, etc.
