Dirty talker alert. I couldn't get enough of Aiden Hunter!
Chloe isn’t the type of girl to take risks. Every move is planned, ever word and response is carefully chosen. But things are about to change for this bored girl when she crashes into a man that is bound and determined to show her how to live, despite every warning her brain is screaming at her.Aiden is all muscle and tattoos. And secrets. Lots of secrets. When one drunken night places these two in the right place at the right time, Aiden can’t resist wanting to push her boundaries. To get her to do something outside of her comfort zone. To attempt to breathe life into her dull existence. One night turns in Ohio turns into one week in Miami where Aiden pushes Chloe to experience what it’s like to live. But as they grow closer, Chloe finds herself pushing back every warning alarm that is going off in her head about the vague responses to questions about his life. She knows that he has secrets, ones that scare her... but after just a few days with this man she isn’t willing to walk away just yet.For fans of Shay Savage, getting a story from her from the female point of view was exciting. I loved the voice her stories are told when she lets the guy take the lead, so having a woman, who was reserved and a little insecure tell this story, well this reader was excited.I usually struggle with the heroine in a novel. Mostly because the author creates a weak, insecure and often less than bright character. We get told over and over again as to why they are like this. It wasn’t that Chloe wasn’t any of those things, in fact she was most of those things; the difference was that we got to know those things by watching the character interact with both Aiden, her friends and ultimately inside her own head. I found while reading this, that it’s not those characteristics I hate in a character, but rather I hate them being forced upon me. For Chloe, these were traits I understood by observing her and getting to know her as she told this story.Aiden was an easy sell. I love a damaged bad-boy, the more misunderstood the better. The more broken the wetter the p@nties get. And boy did Aiden have some serious cracks. There were parts of his back story that I anticipated coming out but even with some elements of predictability, there were enough shifts in the story that you never uncovered the entire picture. Even as he had his moments where he was all sexy-alpha-caveman – there were times when his sweetness was just beautiful. Moments while in bed, lazily made comments – moments when you saw how much her excitement for trying something new made his heart smile. Those moments were perfect. But one thing that stood out for me was his mouth.Dirty talker alert.I fell in love with his foul mouth. With as much restraint as he showed to Chloe, he let all of that go once he got the green light. The beast was unleashed.I could not put this book down. I figured that after a long day of work, I’d get halfway and pick it up the next day, but I stayed up till the wee hours reading. Needing to know how their story ended. With the bang of the prologue setting you up for devastation, I knew once I got to the halfway mark, there was just no stopping me.For those who have only read one or two books of Shay’s this will come across much different (especially from Surviving Raine – but seriously, that book was in a class of its own). The voice of this story is much different since we aren’t getting the male lead here. It was refreshing to get this side of her writing after reading her other works. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this story.

**Solid 4.5 Stars**
Okay.. It has taken me way too long to be able to finish this book. Technical difficulties with my Kindle App resulting in me getting a new Kindle E-reader (Which I'm lovin) But I was Finally able to get back to this beloved book & I must say I was beyond pleased with this one. Those of you that are familiar with Ms. Savage know that she is known for writing the best Male POV's that dominate the books very well. So me reading this book strictly in the female POV, was a bit odd, but still, I think Ms. savage did an excellent job with it. What made it work for me was even though it was in Chloe's POV, you still were shown through her eyes the intensity of the story & the mystery surrounding Aiden. So I didn't really need his POV in this book. The fact that there was a lot of dialogue as well, helped a great deal too. But the type of story this is, the mystery surrounding the Hero, I get why this was only written from the female's perspective. If we got his POV it would have ruined the mystery surrounding him. This book isn't what I would call non-stop action intensity, but there is an underlining tone of violence, & violent occurrences that do help bring the story full circle, but the meat lies in the emotional intensity between Aiden & Chloe. And the way that this story was executed, I must say I didn't need the grand, nonstop adrenaline action here. There is action, but like I said it's not central to the story.Aiden- My goodness! I was in love with this dude the moment I met him & nothing changed this for me over the course of this book. I was dying to know his dark secrets & when they were finally revealed I wasn't disappointed. I just... LOVE HIM! He's hot. He's beyond hot. He had me blushing & sweating & thinking all kinds of things. But he's sweet too. And when his story came full circle, coupled with all that I got from him in this book & added to how he was with Chloe I just loved him even more. I shed tears for him when I finally knew what his deal was. He's definitely my "Book Boyfriend"Chloe- was a bit harder to like. She's not TSTL by any means. She just borderline obsesses ALOT. It's right on that line where it's almost completely annoying, but at the same time it's not. Because of who she is & how she has led her life up until meeting Aiden, & all the mystery surround him, her questions, thoughts, & worries were valid. You can clearly relate because you know if it were you, you'd be asking yourself or wondering the same things. So you couldn't be angry with her about it. You just kinda wish that she would just get the nerve to approach the subject(s) with him. Cos you're dying to know what his deal is too, but you're also dying for her to shut the heck up about it as well. LOLBut Chloe definitely grows on you. By the end of this story I was very proud of her & how she came full circle as well. Her and Aiden just complimented one another well, IMO. I loved watching their story unfold. It was intense, intriguing, erotic, sexy & beautiful. So yes, I would recommend this read.

Cracking erotic thriller
An absolutely cracking erotic thriller from one of my favourite authors. I loved the juxtaposition of two such seemingly ill-matched people, and the genesis of the relationship between a man who appears to live by the ethos of carpe diem, and a girl who is so afraid to challenge herself she won't even look for another job to escape a ghastly boss. When Chloe does decides to take an unprecedented risk, it's with a man, Aiden, who is the antithesis of all the men she's known before - indeed, he is exactly the kind of man her mother warned her against. He's a man with secrets, about which she is too afraid to ask, in case it turns out that she has aligned herself with a criminal. But is Chloe in danger of falling in with villains... or just of falling in love? The clever premise kept me guessing right along with the heroine, whilst still rooting for Aiden. As ever, Ms Savage had a few shocks and twists up her sleeve and I couldn't put it down until the very last page. Highly recommended.

Chloe and Aiden's story
I liked this as Aiden and Chloe let go of their inhibitions and problems and change their ideas about life and find their HEA.I did get a little irritated by Chloe's fairly condescending attitude where she assumed things about Aiden without finding out the truth and it wasn't a case of ignorance is bliss. It is basically a love story with some violence and quite a predictable ending but it finishes off the story well. The author has an interest in psychology so the story does cover a variety of issues.Suitable for older readers due to content.

Great book
Never read a Shay Savage book before, but I loved it. The characters were described with eloquence and feeling. I really connected to them, especially Chloe. It's surprising what you do to LIVE life of your with the right person. You put your trust in them and that helps you through the scary bus. The book has a few surprises and and it adds to the interest.

A very good read
Once again Shay has suprised us by writing something different. A story from a female's POV. With good stong characters and a story to match. Chloe assumes all sort of things about Aiden from the way he looks. But is taken back when she realises, that she has got it all wrong. Aiden the very handsome tattoo man. Shows Chloe it's good to take risks, that show you are alive and that life is worth living.
