Simple Deluxe Ceramic Heat Emitter Bulb - Perfect for Reptiles
I was concerned about the potential impact of a red heating light on my bearded dragon's eyesight, so a friend recommended the Simple Deluxe ceramic heat emitter bulb. I must say, it has been a great choice so far. This bulb effectively maintains the temperatures in my reptile terrarium, especially during the night, and my baby beardy is thriving. The package includes a convenient 2-pack of 150W ceramic heat lamps. The bulb's design ensures that the lamp surface temperature remains high for optimal heating, so it's important to avoid direct contact during operation. Additionally, it is recommended to allow the bulb to cool for at least an hour before removing it from the fixture to prevent any accidental burns.Safety is paramount when using heat emitters, and this product provides clear guidelines to ensure proper usage. It is crucial to use the bulb in a suitable environment, avoiding damp conditions. Adjusting the distance between the lamp and your pets is essential, with a minimum of 35cm recommended. Furthermore, it is important to keep the bulb away from combustible or explosive materials to avoid any potential hazards.Overall, the Simple Deluxe ceramic heat emitter bulb has proven to be a reliable and effective solution for maintaining the ideal temperatures in my reptile terrarium. So much better than a red bulb!
Sooooo much better than those big ole red bulbs. I found that I didn’t need as much heat as a red bulb produces, when I switched to this (lower wattage) it was awesome! No light, just heat. Also safer. Will never go back to a red bulb at least for raising chicks. When it was time to reduce the heat, I moved to an even lower wattage ceramic bulb. These things are great.

Ceramic heat lamp for amphibians or snakes
We use the heat lamp for some box turtles. I like how easy they are to install and they are very sleek looking. You can’t even tell they are really on because they don’t emit any light. They last a pretty long time and definitely put out some heat. The only down side is you can’t control the heat, it’s all or nothing. You can order them in different wattage’s depending on how big your tank is. They are also easy to find on Amazon and shipped quickly.

Definitely get these
Do not even bother wasting your money on the identical expensive bulbs you get in the pet stores. These work just as well and last a very long time. I can't even believe stores are charging upwards of $50-60 for 1 of these. This is a great deal and high quality! These are my go to heating bulbs for my snake now :)

WARNING!!!!
First off, this is NOT a negative review about the light itself. It does a great job and I, as well as my cat, am very pleased but PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! My husband and I went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night smelling something. We scurried around trying to find the source and finally found that the lamp had fallen and was laying flat on linoleum. It had burned a hole straight through the layers underneath the top floor covering. Fortunately we were home when this happened and I don’t want to think about what would have happened had we not been. So my cat wanders around the house now missing her warm cardboard box (she prefers cardboard). She’ll just find me and happily flop down under a blanket. PLEASE again be careful and it is a HAZARD but it’s a great lamp.

Great alternative to red bulbs for chickens!
I use these in our coop in the winter. They do not radiate as large an area as the red heat lamp bulbs, which allows you to keep a smaller cozy area for the chickens to use only when they need to. This frees me from the worry of a broken bulb in the coop.

Puts off heat, just not enough.
I have both of these bulbs in our chicken coop. They put out heat like they are supposed to, but they don't put out enough. It gets warm right by the bulb, but as soon as temperatures drop like they have been in Southern Ontario they don't heat my coop properly and our coop gets below 0°.
