Coppola e Toppo
Ever wonder how far one can create with crystal beads? Well, wonder no more, because this books shows wonderful and creative designs that Coppola e Toppo did with crystal beads, the great inventive stringing styles and mix of colorsand stones. It is in a way a very 60 look, but today, we need something as creative as these or better to give a push to what beads can do for Haute Jewelry. It is a classic as a book and a must have for anyone interested in jewelry and jewelry making.

Toppo Jewelry Designs Still Chic
A wonderful and beautiful book. I've admired Lyda Toppo (and her brother) for sometime now. Her crystal jewelry from the 50's and 60's is gorgeous. I admire her creations from the 60's the best. One never knew it possible to reconfigure these crystals in so many designs. A good educational book.

Nice book but could be more varied
The pictures shown are very similar to each other . I would have preferred a greater variety of styles which I do know that they created.

Enlightening and Entertaining New Book!
Deanna Farneti Cera's wonderful new book on the jewelry of Coppola e Toppo is a must read for anyone interested not just in vintage jewelry but vintage fashion.Coppola e Toppo jewelry was chosen by the haute couture houses of Schiaparelli, Jacques Fath, Molyneux, Robert Piquet, Pierre Balmain, Balenciaga and Christian Dior. There are beautiful, simple photographs of the pieces and great archival photos from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. In one of my favorite images in the book the model Veruschka is photographed in a bikini wearing a Coppola e Toppo body ornament and holding an enormous snake. It was very interesting in reading Fashion Jewels Coppola e Toppo to discover that the jewelry was entirely embroidered. It was even more interesting to read that Serge Matta, who was assistant to Elsa Schiaparelli and brother of the great surrealist painter, Roberto Matta, may have developed the technique of embroidering beads on a rigid metal plate for Coppola e Toppo. It is a great resource book as well with extensive photographs of Coppola e Toppo jewelry.

Great book for the lovers of fashion jewellery!
I saw this book at a famous bookstore in central London but I didn't have the money on me at the time. But I looked for it online. It was a must have for me as I haven't been so exciting about this type of book for a long long time!!! I have decided to create my own fashion jewellery, so this book gives you alot of inspiration not just from the items but the designers life story and their journey into the fashion world! It is an excellent book for all those who are into fashion, lots & lots of colour & fine detail.
