I bought this to be able to capture images of local wildlife in western Montana. It has multiple resolutions choices (16 MP, 12MP, 8 MP and 5 MP for photos; 1080P or 720P for videos, in addition to VGA and WVGA). Different resolutions of course require more storage space. But with a 32GB SD storage card (not included) there is plenty of room for images. I used both 1080P for videos and 16 MP for photos.You can set up the unit to take up to 3 photos each time the motion sensor triggers, or a video of between 10 seconds and 5 minutes). You can also do both video and photos. I set it up to take three photos and then a 10 second video.You can also set it to take images during certain times of the day but I have not yet tried that.The images and videos the unit took were primarily of deer at night. The low glow infrared LEDs do a good job of illuminating the area to provide black and white images at night without a bright flash. The wildlife for the most part took no notice of the illumination.The mounting strap is approx 5 feet long and can thus be used around a fairly large tree trunk. The small LCD screen, battery pack eject (batteries not included - it takes 8 AA), set-up controls, SD card slot and USB connection port are all located behind a front cover that stays securely closed but opens easily enough. I much preferred the mechanical buttons for setting up the unit to others that have a remote control.All in all this unit performs well and provides good value at the price point.

product is not waterproof, not even close to its ip 65 listing, the camera was exposed to rain and wind and insides got wet...no gasket on door panel for waterproofing will not take pictures.

Left the camera out on the back of my property for a few days to test it out. During the few days we saw some heavy rain. When I brought it back in to check it out there was no sign of any water damage and reviewing everything on my computer showed that it also captured some high quality content. The built in screen is a great addition and is really useful. This is the third trail camera I have purchased, I returned the first 2.

Decent trail camera. I recommend this camera to all beginners but I have used others and this is pretty standard for a night vision camera. Captures everything pretty clearly but the camera scope is not very wide so it does not capture as much as I would like it to. Other than that it functions well, is designed for outdoor use, is camouflaged, and has a pretty good battery life for a camera.

Pretty good camera. Has a pretty reliable battery life if you can remember to charge it fully. The camouflage is a great addition so that animals will not notice the camera. I wish the camera came with a stand for use other than night vision. I like to buy a camera that is capable of taking high quality pictures during the night and day. Regardless, it is a pretty good product for its price. 4 stars

Absolute junk. I actually bought 3, and returned the first one because I thought I got a dud. Cameras work about 5 minutes. I wish I could return the other two

Great camera but takes so many pics it blows through batteries

This is the best hunting cam I have bought in a long time. The camera platform runs very fast and its lens is much better than my previous camera. The picture is excellent and the size is perfect to stick on trees, polls, fences, etc. Requires batteries, but, is very convenient since you don't have to charge after every use.
