The media could not be loaded.  A lot of these self watering devices don’t work because the water just keeps on coming. Not this one. It comes with a bottle, is nice and large and the dish is shallow enough for crickets and lizards to drink from without drowning. I would buy again!!

Kinda difficult to keep the water all on one side when putting the bottle in. Regular water bottles work too

Bigger than you’d think, also glows very bright. A bit distractingly bright. Also not that easy to clean food area without dumping all water. I think the water reservoir is for long weekends away when the tortoise is on its own. I’m not using the bottle daily.

This is as shown, except SUPER small, this is more for a hatchling size. Not 3 yr old tortoise as I have. The water bottle is maybe 8 0z. I’m keeping it, just disappointed this isnt bigger.

Its a good concept. I have a Russian tortoise and got it for him. The water thing doesn't really seem to work. I'm not sure if I got a bad one or what. No matter what way I twist it, the water from the automatic waterer litterally all just comes out at once. It doesn't fill the bowl then stop. I have been using it as a food and water bowl though, but disappointed it didn't work as an automatic waterer.
