Diydress Women's Long Fashion High Waist A-Line Satin Skirts with Pockets

I wear around a size 22, but I'm finding in formal wear, that has been equating to a 24 or 26 (if they are even made in that size by the finer designers). I ordered this in a 6x, and its just right around the hips and waist with a smidge of room that once I get shapewear on, I may have a tailor take in the waist a bit, but I didnt wan't to miss the mark and get too small. Trust the measurements they provide - they seem spot-on. I have a black tie event coming up in a month, and have been on the hunt. Once I realized a gown was going to be impossible to find that didn't leave me looking like a melted pile of pastel orange sherbet, I switched my perview to a fancy top and skirt. I could only find one other brand of skirt that fit the 'gown' billing in plus size, and it was ugly and had elastic waist. So I found this one in black and decided to give it a try.YOU GUYS! This skirt is absolutely stunning. The waist band is actually a band, the back zips up. Like a few other reviewers have said, from the seam of the skirt to the seam of the waistband the zipper is a no-go. It just hits that seam area and stops. Even off my body, laying flat it won't go. To me this isnt even enough of a problem to take away a star - I can sew eyehook closures on, or have it done when I get it altered. I ordered it rush delivery, so unlike others I wasn't contacted for measurements, but thats fine because I still didnt know what shoes I was going to wear. I'm 5' 4" tall, and there is plenty of length on this thing that if you were 6' I suspect it would work for you.The pleating is gorgeous, even without a crinoline for a little extra floof it doesnt grab my hips and then dip in - its remains a perfect A-line. The material is plenty heavy - not cheap feeling at all. The quality of the fabric is what makes this skirt just work.Shipping on the black skirt was incredibly fast, and it shipped from Kentucky. I did order the Claret skirt the same night the Black one arrived at my doorstep - because ya know...options!!. I'm guessing due to the uncommon color/size combo it needed to be made for me since they probably don't have it sitting there ready to go. I ordered it on the 8th and its not set to arrive until at least the 21st, so be aware that the ship times could take some time. This one is coming from Yiwu, China and today is the 16th and it just cleared customs in Shanghai.It's absolutely a gorgeous skirt. For a plus size person having trouble finding something to wear to a formal event, I honestly would buy this thing over and over again.

*Update Below*(Original review)I purchased this skirt to wear for a special occasion coming up in a few weeks. I waited until the last possible minute to order my outfit (shame on me), and I was really afraid of it not arriving on time, or arriving but not fitting. Neither of those things happened!First of all, the company sent me a message quickly after I ordered, asking me if the measurements on the standard size I had selected were okay, or if I needed/wanted to alter them, as they would make a custom skirt for me (no additional charge) if I could respond quickly enough. I was able to send them my measurements and the skirt fits PERFECTLY!I was AMAZED at how fast it was delivered, especially considering it was custom made for me, ESPECIALLY considering it came all the way from Asia to the US! I think it was like right at a week between ordering and delivery. Seriously, shocked is the only word I have for it lolThe skirt is gorgeous, and seems to be very well made. The other reviews were correct about the weight of the skirt, but to me it just feels like that much better quality because of the weight. The pockets are amazing, and the zipper is even done nicely and doesn't snag. The hem is straight, and all the stitching looks really nice.I love this skirt. I've been wearing it around my house because it makes me feel like a princess lolI can't wait to wear it for real!!*Update*I have added photos!This skirt was unreal, it photographs so well and hangs beautifully. I am seriously so pleased, and if/when I ever find myself needing another full skirt in another color, I'll know exactly where to go :)

This skirt is well made of nice fabric. The navy blue is a rich saturated color with a nice satin finish. My only disappointment is that it is a few inches too big around the waist and I will need to have it altered. I recommend the skirt!

Mine arrived too big in waist despite confirmation of measurements so I could not wear for event. Also too long so will have quite a job to hem. Be prepared for the weight of the fabric, very heavy. But quality work and gorgeous satin at an unbeatable price. The waist needs to be adjustable by elastic or apron buttoning to handle the weight. The pockets fell too low on me because waistband was too big. I would order more of these. Hint if you want quality satin to make another dress, there is tons of material in this skirt. Bolts of it. Price is fantastic!!!

Beautiful ball gown skirt. High quality fabric, pockets! Beautiful fuscia color. I wore it with a long sleeved cropped t shirt and loved the whole look. The company contacted me right after I ordered it and made it to my exact size specifications.

They try to harass you to make the skirt custom , so when you make it custom, you can’t return it if you don’t like it !!!!! I didn’t make it custom , then they bombarded me with email and email email email asking me to make it custom , so when I received it. I didn’t like the way it fit. It was too big. It was too long so I sent it back and now they are refusing to refund my money. And I’ll give you a beautiful scary, but it did nothing for me and I understand what the problem !!!!!!

The skirt was perfect. The size and material were exactly what I needed for an event. I was disappointed that the zipper did not work. I received the skirt unzipped which I found odd. I realized it was because the zipper never worked from the manufacturer. Oh well. I returned it.

This skirt was an absolute surprise. I thought it would be ok for my event, but when it arrived I was blown away. The stitching was perfect, the fabric is heavyweight and also fully lined. I was contacted to ask my waist size and it fits like a glove. The pockets are a bonus. Absolutely recommend. 10 out of 10!

I am a choral director, and I purchased this long black satin skirt to wear for performances. I could not be more pleased! It is excellent quality satin, very well made, and fit me perfectly. I am 5'5", 158 pounds and bought a size medium. With a pair of heeled shoes, it was the perfect length. I love that it has some weight to it; the furthest from flimsy that you could imagine. I'm going to get a red one for Christmas concerts!

Very good fabric and it exactly fit on my waist, it's quite long for me since I'm short. But the heels can make the magic. I just hope you have other light color like white or ivory.
