Dollhouse Miniature 1000 Piece Rectangle Cedar Shingles

I recently decided I wanted to try my hand at making a model log cabin. I'm trying to make it as realistic as possible, but did not cherish the thought of hand making the tiny wood shingles for the roof. I saw these on Amazon and decided to order them. They are actually quite decent and for the price it beats the heck out of trying to make them myself. Are some of them sized a little different? Yes, but I could not have done a better job myself by any means!

I have built 16 either Dollhouse or Haunted House for Grandkids- these shingles were perfect!!! They have groves down flowing the grain which makes it so much easier to work with. 5 yrs ago I bought them from the other guy- says 1,000 shingles for $15 - he sends 100 - he is a thief and I can’t believe Amazon let’s him sell????? I completely forgot about that guy & I bought them again. These are top quality & u have to pay for better materials! Thanks

Although I give this product a 4 star review, there were a couple issues. The main issue is with the size difference of a few shingles. The count was around 25 or so or of 1,000 pieces but I don't know if this is weighed counted and I got short regular size shingles because of the extra thick shingles included or what? The second issue I had was when I needed to cut them in half or at an angle: the other half would split and become unusable. Overall, the usable pieces are good, sturdy and workable. Not sure if they are worth the money spent unfortunately.

There are a lot of shingles that can not be used. But still a great value.

I am using the shingles on an A-frame dollhouse from my childhood. First, I wish I would have known how many bags I needed before starting. The first two bags I ordered (I ordered one at a time) were the same lighter shade. I needed a 3rd bag and they were way darker than I already had. Honestly, I just clicked "buy again" so I don't even know if they all came from the same place. I already had side done so this was not acceptable. If I had ordered multiple bags at once and this happened, I would have happily mixed them. I am retuning the darker ones for another bag with my fingers crossed. Not happy about the number of thicker pieces but I painted a few and turned them into "books." Wish there was an option of what shade you wanted to order.

These are perfect for a doll house.

The product description stated that the singles were 1-1/4 inches in height, but in reality, they are 1-1/8 inches measured height.....
