Colonel Ichabod Conk Stainless Steel Shave Cup

After purchasing the  Large Stainless Steel Shaving Soap Bowl from Super Safety Razors , I ended up tossing it in the trash and purchased this one.I like it because it has a solid feel to it, and not thin or flimsy. I mostly like that the soap doesn't move around inside the bowl as much as the last bowl allowed the soap to move all around. And, it isn't top heavy, so it doesn't tip over if I bump it. It is made well, and looks symmetrically the same from all directions; the last cup was slightly warped. And, it hasn't developed any rust AT ALL as it would if it was made with low-grade stainless steel.

Prior to this item I was using a plastic Gladware bowl to lather in. Needless to say, I needed something better but inexpensive. Other reviewers are right in that this item does not retain heat at all, but i am still able to produce a good lather with my Proraso cream and Escali brush. It fits well in the palm of the hand and is a great size for a small bathroom with limited counter space. I will eventually upgrade to a ceramic bowl but for now this has completed my beginner wet shave kit.

This little shave cup complements my Edwin Jagger DE89BL very nicely. It feels good in the hand, and I like that I can get a good grip on the bottom of the cup as a I whip up the lather. My only complaint is that the cup is a little small and I constantly find myself wishing that it was just a little bigger. Other than it's size, it is a great little cup!

This bowl is well constructed, however, it is quite small. Perhaps Yoda has started old-school shaving? It does do what it is intended to do and I do like the look of it. It does travel well also.

great, but kind of small. gets the job done, but would be a lot easier if it was a bit larger to allow for easy movement. otherwise, strong and sturdy

The product picture gives the impression the cup is bigger. The material used is of good quality and it fits the job.

Bowl is a little small. I read the reviews but bought anyways to match my Col. Conk set. I would buy a bigger bowl if I had to re buy. Still a nice bowl, just a little small

Get something bigger than this it is practically impossible to lather in this tiny cup. I suggest  Colonel Conk Model 111 Santa Fe Shave Cup with Soap, (Soap scents will vary)  it is big enough but does not take up too much space.
