Great sound paired with my Sonos
I have this speaker connected to my Sonos amp and it’s playing vinyl record music, the sound is really clear and crisp. Highly recommend.

Beautiful speaker
This is a beautiful looking and sounding speaker. It has a really charming and airy treble, which is very pleasant to listen to. Its also the best looking build of any speaker I’ve seen anywhere near this price range. The oak wood sides are gorgeous.I paired it with a Marantz HD amp.

Fantastic Speakers
Love these speakers, they're perfect for a small to moderate sized room, have excellent range and produce the human voice excellently. I've owned a few bookshelf speakers and these clearest and most precise, great a low volumes. The brown woofers look nice next to a wood bookshelf. This is a 4 instead of a 5 because of the price. These go for significantly less in Europe so you're giving a lot to the middle man.

Excellent sounding speakers at a modest price
After a little break in time these really sing. No high end distortion from a 100w amp. Excellent for a vinyl setup in a medium sized room or smaller (i have them in a 18x20ft room and they're plenty)

Very Smooth sounding speakers which sound big
I did not purchase these speakers from Amazon. I have them in Ash black finish & writing this review after over 2 weeks of use . The build quality is excellent & they came in well packaged. The reason I had changed from my previous speaker setup of Definitive Promonitor 1000's since the Deftech's were bright sounding for my ears & were suited more for movies. I wanted good smooth sound for stereo & movies hence went in for Dali Oberon1. They sound smooth right out of the box even before their break in period of 100 hours as mentioned by Dali & are good for movies too with the Oberon Vokal. I have wall mounted them, maybe if I didn't have a space constraint would have gone for Oberon 3 for the fronts. Very good with midrange & the voices sound natural. You can go on listening to songs with the speakers just disappearing. They sound bigger too. I am indeed very happy with them. Please note these Oberon 1 's do need a subwoofer since you will not get deep bass from them considering their size but they do sound good on their own where bass is concerned. These speakers are not fussy about placement & there is no need to toe them in.The Dali support for Queries is also very good.

Very good, but less airy than I prefer
The Dali Oberon 1s have a very fine, very comfortable sound that one can listen to for a long time.I purchased them on the basis of reviews for a home office powered by an Anthem MRX 310 receiver I had on hand and teamed with a SVS SB1000 subwoofer. My reference for sound is my main system with a pair of vintage Yamaha NS-1000 speakers powered by a Yamaha MX-1 amplifier and paired with dual SVS SB2000 subwoofers. This system produces a very open, airy, and transparent sound that I like. My goal was to get a similar type sound for much less money and taking much less space.By comparison, the Oberon 1s are warmer with a rolled-off treble that is not as open and airy as I prefer, so I returned them. I found the B&W 607s to be a better match for me, but they required work on placement, replacing the factory jumpers (they have separate terminals for the woofer and tweeter and I found the factory jumper between those terminals degraded the sound of the driver not directly connected to the speaker wire), and room equalizing to get a balanced sound. Some may find the 607s as intense and prefer the comfort and ease of the Oberon 1s that sound very fine and balanced, though warmer and rounder, right out of the box.

Disappointing
I was really looking forward to hearing these after catching some generally positive reviews. But ugh... these were not impressive. The sound had no body and was quite shouty in the higher frequencies. Build quality of the cabinets was very good, but not enough to overcome the sonic deficiencies.Maybe the pair I received were defective, but I was not able to get them to sound good or image well despite trying a few amps and receivers and adjusting their room positioning. These were especially disappointing for the price they're asking. I can think of a half dozen speakers that I've heard that cost about half of the MSRP that have far more going for them in every conceivable way.I wound up returning the Oberons, and my advice, if you're considering them, is to look elsewhere. There are just too many decent (and more affordable) speakers on the market nowadays to recommend auditioning the Oberon 1s to anyone.
