Easier to use than I ever thought
Watched a video & decided to give it a try. This product was very easy to use. Did what I expected and completely sealed the cheese with 2 dips. It melts fine in a pie pan set in boiling water. Just make sure your cheese is oil free on the surface and the vinegar is dry as the wax does not want to stick in those areas. I tried a fine brush but found it left grooves in the wax. This may be an area that matter may stick in over time. Dipping produces a clean, smooth surface that not only seals but looks attractive as well. I cut small pieces of paper and wrote in pencil what type of cheese it was and used wax to stick it to the block as a label. I didn't use a sharpie for fear it would penetrate and taint the cheese. I used different colors for different types of cheese. Can't comment on how easily it comes off the cheese because I haven't opened any yet. Maybe in a few years, I'll add to this review and comment on that feature. I've already purchased more to use. Give it a try. BTW, the 3 stars for value was because I haven't purchased any product from anyone else so have nothing to compare it to. So, I figured it's not an outstanding value but also not over the top expensive. I think it's fair for what you get and how it works.

It works
It melted easily and smoothly. Coated the cheese in two thin coats which was what I read to do from many online searches.Now I’ll place my wax covered chess in a cool place and check it out in a couple months to see how it turns out

Simple
I used my mini crockpot to melt the wax down, and dipped the cheese in it a few times on each side until I had what I thought was a decent rind on it. Three weeks later I used the first 1/2 pound block of the 4 pounds I did as a test. It had held well. I’ll definitely be trying this again.
