Canon 18x50 Image Stabilization All-Weather Binoculars - Bundle with Tulip Lens Hoods, Tripod + More

This is a great binocular and at this magnification, the stabilization is mandatory and effective. All the little trinkets and doodads that came with it are for a camera - which helps to indicate that the 50 mm lens attachments are interchangeable - but are purely irrelevant for this optical equipment. I had to buy 2 lens caps for the front lenses. The Cannon camera lense cap fits perfectly. The tripod that came with the package broke by simply tightening one of the plastic wing nuts. These junk trinkets distract from the quality of the binocular.At their hefty weight, I hesitate to backpack them in on long treks although I do now have them with me on the Nakasendo Trail in Japan - a backpacking trip.Some comments indicate problems with the eye-pieces. I have had binoculars for half a century. These are as good as any and better than most.

If you can afford these binoculars get them by all means. They work absolutely perfect! They are a little heavy but they come with a good neck strap so you can live with the weight. From the first time you look through them you will be impressed. They are by far the clearest binoculars that I've ever owned. I do think they are overpriced but I love them.
