I bought this item to be the first step in a multi-stage birthday scavenger hunt. It was a big hit. The cryptex itself is solidly built and very robust. It was easy to set and now serves as a paperweight toy. Highly recommend this as a nice quality theme gift.

I ordered this under the pretense that if it low quality I would just return it but I was pleasantly surprised!This thing is SUPER heavy and high quality feeling. I was able to open it with the code provided in the box, then changing the code was super easy. Just a couple of screws and then you change the order of the letters.My one gripe with it is that sometimes the spinning rings rub against each other making it a little hard to spin the rings. Other than that it is awesome. I used it for a scavenger hunt and EVERYONE was talking about how cool it was!

I got this as a gift for my fiance as he's been implementing puzzles within our DnD campaign and thought this appropriate.It's nice and heavy, completely made of metal, well decorated with beautiful craftsmanship and a compartment large enough to potentially hide notes or jewellery.I did have some struggles with it, though.First was that the first ring was not programmed properly which gave me difficulty in opening it for the first time. Instead of "I" it was programmed to "L". We ended up needing to brute force it to open it.Second, some of the tumblers, or rings, rub the inner chamber when rotating, which isn't great, but can be lessened by adding grease or by tightening the screws that hold the rings in place (though don't tighten it too much, or you won't be able to insert the inner chamber again).Overall I'm actually really pleased with it, despite wondering if I'd need to return it.

I ordered this thinking it was going to be plastic or super lightweight. It is not! It feels like it weighs about ten pounds the quality and the detail blew me away. Awesome purchase!

Very special and creative gift with good quality and arrive only for two days. The product has good weight and looks great to be able to put on desk or shelf. It is very well made and easy to break to get the rings in there. The code can be customized and be used to save other special and meaningful goods in there. Very impressed with this item and exactly what I want.

I used these for a creative way to give my nieces and nephews money for Christmas (since they are all teenagers or older). I got one of these last year and loved it. I don't remember what company it came from. The ones this year are easy enough to reset the combo but when I try to put in the password one of the dials sticks and requires some effort to move it.
